I. LOVE. THIS. PERIOD.
This is the same you posted with the Q-Tips?

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

That has got to be the worst gremlin I have ever seen.

Looks nothing like one!

Time to go back to the drawing board. :p

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

Thanks!
Yes it's the same one, but when i made the animated gif with the q-tip, he wasn't completely finished. I was just goofing around with him.
I'm surprised you remember that. :)

BTW, here is that gif with the q-tip.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who have never seen it.
Keep in mind, this was made long before he was finished.

Is there any way, at all that perhaps Efx can work with you to reproduce this? This is so freaking unbelievably awesome I can't put it into words. I would swear this is the real deal. It really makes everything else seem so cheap in comparison.

They wouldn't want to be talking to Gino... he didn't sculpt it but he did a mighty fine job of building up the parts (that myself and others created for him) and painting it.

I appreciate that megaweapon.
A more complete accounting of it's creation can be found here:

You can acheive little by lying Gino... in that plog you haven't even credited me by name!!! and just mention me as another talented sculptor in the UK... You sculpted nothing on this Yoda piece What So Ever!!! The truth is you did very little on the sculpting side of this Yoda... I created it myself under my own steam in 2006! Check out this thread guys and don't listen to the babblings of a user! 2006 Yoda thread Heres what I wrote on the open post where it was still in its very earliest stages...

I've been working, on and off, on this head sculpt based on the Stuart Freeborn version of Yoda... The Master version as I call it! The trick being to capture not just a good likesness but the essence of Yoda or his Character.

In trying to do this I've used a similiar water based clay to Freeborn and tried to capture not just the proportions but the skin texture and style of the Artists work (or approach). Not every wrinkle is in the right place (as that would take forever) but I've tried to get at least 60 - 70% of these accurate.

I've decided to show off a few angles of this creation to get your views and feedback.. If you need to know anything else about this work please don't hesitate to ask.

And here was my MK2b (latex design) 2006 (Latex Version)

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

I've never sculpted on any of the three busts we worked on together (with the exception of the teeth I custom made for my yoda, the yoda nails, and the reworking of the maul horns. I never claimed to have sculpted them.
But make no mistake, without my input they would not turned out half as good. I have quotes from you even saying so publicly.
And since you mentioned it, your new Yoda is not nearly as good as the one we did. You took steps backward with it in my opinion and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Let's be frank here for a moment. The reason you and I split was because you couldn't handle the attention my finished pieces were getting and felt their success as an ensemble overshadowed OUR busts (ie your contribution) as individual items. You let your pride get the best of you and it wore at our partnership. It is a shame. That and the fact that you started mixing with certain people I consider completely untrustworthy.

While the bust is the most important aspect of any lifesize display, it still is just one part, and when it came to finishing these characters out to a completion, I created all the rest of the components on my own with no involvement from you. All I received from you were raw untrimmed castings of OUR busts and turned them into what you see on my site.
My completed displays look the way they do because of ME. Otherwise you would see dozens of identical busts/displays that look just like mine, and you don't.

It is apparent to me and everyone else reading this that the crux of your problem with me is because in the end, my completed displays overshadow OUR busts. That is not my fault.
Nothing is stopping you from finishing out your own pieces. Mine have been finished for years now. You feel somehow it is MY fault that you cannot create finished pieces that look as good as mine? I think you should take some personal responsibility for that.
You're a seriously talented sculptor Phil. I think you should spend more time channeling your energy on your projects, and less time arguing/whining on prop forums.
Speaking of which, same goes for myself.
My apologies to anyone reading this for the airing of my and Phil's dirty laundry.

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

Actually I look at your Yoda and feel proud to have been part of such an amazing piece.... Not jealous... Why should I feel jealous about something I helped to create??? :confused

The problem with you is you're saddling me with your own issues... not mine... You're a very good painter and builder (no doubts there) but why are you saying you can our could do better than myself at finishing?.... Thats not even the argument here. The argument is about you failing to recognise I did this Sculpt 100% off my own back. It was never a joint project between us!

Also since you mentioned it... I've never fully applied myself yet to a finished Yoda as I've never been happy with the sculpt, so how can you even imagine what my capabilties are???. Your comments about not liking my newer Yoda is purely Jealousy and spoilt pride!:thumbsdown

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

PS... It would be nice if I didn't have to waste valuable time on Users and Recasters!!:confused

And since mentioned it, you didn't want me to mix with people you don't like??? i.e. Trap Joe??? You wanted me to publically rebuke Jorg and a few others which I refused to do.... You also wanted me to publically make a big deal of your involvement in the project so lets just say you're very very manipulative!!!!

PPS... and thanks to everyone whos been messaging me their support through this :)

Re: YODA'S RETURN TO DAGOBAH!! -see post #99 5-10-09

oh dear, Cyberman. He is going to be a hard nut. :confused
Better not to waste your time and power on this ... again and let him think whatever he wants.
I decided for myself quickly when I understood how his tricks are, that this guy is doing EVERYTHING for his attention.
Thank you for mention this: but even before you letting me know, I was aware that he is using dirty tricks like this. So I don´t wonder. But I don´t care. Why should I?
BTW: May I remind you Gino, that this is a hobby not a war ground. So please don´t behave so rediculous, please.

Phil: It´s better to take care of who you will ask for help, next time.
There are energy vampires and truth twisters in this world.
For me it was a hard lesson to learn before. I´m happy I found out to be warned of very early.
If an artist doesn´t take care about that, it could break him. I know what I´m talking about. It´s better to take care and force on positive people - not dark side users (lol).

It´s hard, but it may help that you try to see it as a compliment that Gino is very very happy with the result he got with your sculpts. As I see it as a compliment that recognized me when he forbids you to get in contact with several other good members here, inclueding me :)...yes Gino, and you can take this as a compliment...so what´s the problem? solved

Okay, so laundry aside, this is a really amazing Yoda!
Are any of these parts available? I have an Illusive Creations (or whatever) Yoda that I have had for many years and my kids love but the head has a dowel or something breaking through the top of it. I would LOVE to get a better sculpt for it and replace the head (and, I'm sure, eventually replace everything.)
Are or were these available?
There s one for sale now, but that is the whole thing, which, as beautiful as it is, I cannot afford.

Thanks. Great job on him!
