Yet another Blade Runner PKD!

My recent mail call included this!

Then this happened!

These genuine casings certainly add a dash of flair to the prop, even if they are mostly obscured from view. I'm most pleased with the fact that they fit PERFECTLY into the 3D printed cylinder. Massive credits to Anders for his incredible work on the model.

With the arrival of the Charter Arms Bulldog cylinder latch, I can finally conclude my build!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this prop will strictly be a static piece and I am absolutely fine with it. The cylinder and bolt are locked in place but I can pry them apart/open if necessary.

I'll share better photos when I get the time to shoot them.

Thanks guys. This has truly been a self soothing (to borrow a phrase from asavage ) project that I have genuinely enjoyed. Kinda sad that it's coming to an end...or has it?

Oh come on now. You know it never ends... unless you’ve got a real bulldog and a real Steyr receiver in there. :p

Those are more than "decent photos", I'll say that you've taken "precious photos":D the tag add a "je ne sais quoi" to the whole:cool:

To some extent, the tag motivated me to elevate my choices of upgrades and quality of workmanship. As if the tag had to be earned.

I still can't believe the result you got, such impressive work (y)

To be honest, I can't believe it either! There was a fair amount of trial and error, as well as risky improvisations to get several parts to play well together.

Amazing work, and great photos! Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you! I've always believed that quality presentation of one's work is the final stage of the build.

That’s beyond beautiful. Fabulous build and so good, I’m going back to the start and read this through again.
