Warcraft Orc Boots - A little anticlimactic since you have already seen some finished pics but the build thread is still not complete!! So we are going back to add final details to the boots before painting.
Large spikes are cut from the block foam and small white spikes are all resin cast. Battle damage was made using various bits on the Dremel at high speed to cauterize the cuts. This keeps the foam cells from being to open and the paint texture not matching later on. Once done everything was hit with a heat gun and Plasti Dip was used to seal the foam. I prefer to coat the foam in 2-3 thin layers so that #1 it doesn't cover up details and #2 it doesn't run and look sloppy.

I cant wait to see the paint job on this, it really brought it to life. Congrats on all the awards! Im anxious to see the budget for it, but glad you made some money! Seriously, I would slap a baby if I could see this in person. You should come out to SDCC this year so I can see it!

I step into the Nike shoes that are attached the risers inside. The shoestrings are tied off where I can slip them on and there is enough pressure that I do not have to tie them

Yes, then the muscle suit I made for the legs tucks into the boot so that it is seamless.

Warcraft Orc Plasti Dip Party - Once all of the armor is distressed with various Dremel bits. All of the pieces are gone over with a heat gun to close the cells. Then I spend a bunch of time pulling all of the little foam burned bits out of cuts and gouges. Lucky for me it was a crazy warm February and March so everything could be prepped outside instead of in my shop. All of the parts were laid out and base coated with very thin layers of Plasti Dip. To cover all of the parts with 2-3 thin layers took approx 3 cans. Everything was left to try for 24 hours before I started the next phase. The final pic shows the progression of the build last showcasing all of the armor along with his axe and shield.

Funny, I ve been following you build for ages. Excellent, by the way. My mate forwarded a cosplay page to me on Facebook and I thought ' I recognise that Orc!'. It was you. Congratulations on the win. This build has got my Son and I into building an Orc family, we just have to covince my Wife and other kids to join us. Really enjoying watching your Orc progress.

I won 1st in my category and region, then placed 3rd in the world to the Transformer Wheeljack ( 2nd ) and the Necromancer dress ( 1st )
