As I have previously told you in a pm, this is amazing. Would you care to talk a little about your process and the tools you use? Specifically, I am curious about how your able to get the natural look on things like Harry's handle and the knobs of the dumbledors wand. It is one thing to carve a natural looking finish in wood but to also be that accurate is astounding. please tell us you you do it (don't worry I don't have a lathe so I am still buying from you haha.

Hi, I too tried to make a wand, but unfortunately mine didn't turn out so good. So I thought I would ask a couple of questions. Before I do though the wand I tried to make was Sirius Black's and I tried to make it out of a piece of white pine sitting around my house; I used the only tools available to me, a very basic wood carving set. I did fine until the runes on the handle which never came out right and the wood didn't take a good stain. So my first question is can you even use cheap woods like white pine to carve wands on? My second question is; if not then what woods should I us and where can I get them? Third: any tips or tricks to carving wands with limited tools? Finally: do you know where any large highly detailed pictures of harry potter wands are? The only ones I could find where bad quality, which made it much harder to carve.

God these are beautiful !
I would love to have one made - always wanted a wand that chose me - more or less. So it would be rather brlliant to allow you to craft a piece under that idea.

Yaxley's wand is 15" in length and made from gaboon ebony, there is a silver band with metal beads inserted and painted gunmetal silver, though you can't get the metal reflective effect from the pictures, man it really washes out in the pics.
Pius Thicknesse is 15" in length made from hormigo and the two bands are gunmetal painted on. I wish I could have access to real silver bands but maybe in the future.
And a few more of Scabior's Wand made from gaboon ebony.
Check ebay I sell them there, and if there is enough interest here I could sell them in the junkyard forum.

Oliver Wood's Wand is 14" in length, made from east indian rosewood. I love this wood, it turns and smells great.
For inquiries on wands right now just e-mail with your orders when I get more time I will post some in the Junkyard for sale. Thanks.

Hey for those of you on ebay, someone has my username and is selling horrible replicas of wands and is selling them!!! Arghh!!! Oh well, if you see an heirofolivander on ebay it is not me, just look at the work.
"Horrible" meaning they are stating that they are authentic movie props which they are clearly not.

Alecto Carrow's Wand 13.5" in length. Made of cherry, and stained with arcylics/waterbased stains.
I have a few last minute ones on ebay right now. I'll try my best to get them to you before the holidays.
