Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Yeah, filmjackets or ebay would be the way to go. Fifth is probably right, that film jackets would be better. It would be nice if we could pay like a dollar or less to post one thread in the junkyard, so we would not have to go to premium and pay every month. I think that the pay for one JY thread might be a decent compromise. I wish it was still free though. comonbub It might be a good idea to delete the quote in your post, since Soldier has deleted the original post. Just an idea...

he could leave it up as free advertizing for me :)

I am still waiting for my Vanson XO jacket.

I was told that it would be ready beginning of March and here it is in May and I still have not gotten it yet. I wish I could get an update from Dan... I just want to know what is going on. I know everyone says he is good and worth the wait and I definitely understand running into delays but I don't like not having any communication.

I just heard back from Dan. He said my emails got caught up in that email chain thing and he missed them. That I can understand cause the same thing happened to me and I had to disable that feature. I was always missing emails and getting them mixed up. Good idea for history of conversation... bad implementation.

Anyway, my jacket is still not ready yet. He is hoping he can get it from them in the next week or so and then do the weathering and send it my way before my convention on May 23rd. I hope it happens.

Ok so I fixed up my new (old) belt last night and took some pictures. Now I just need to paint my buckle and get my jacket then I will be ready to rock. The pictures of me are mirror images so I flipped them around so that the belt looks right for you guys. Oh, and obviously, those aren't the right pants, lol. All my levis are pretty beat up so I have to go out and get some more.

Looks good. When I first got that belt, the color was beige so I dipped a cotton ball in brown dye and dabbed it a bit until the right color came through.

Hmmm...that looks alot like one of my belts. What was wrong with the leather patches?

The snaps had come off the buckle area and a couple of double cap rivets had popped off of the first leather patch. It also looked like the other rivets were put on without an rivet anvil so the posts were pushing into the caps. I replaced all the rivets and used screw posts instead of snaps for the buckle area since this is the only buckle that will be going on here.

comonbub said it was an Indy X2. You can see a picture of the belt the way it was a few pages back here but that image doesn't show the missing rivets:

Not sure about an X2 belt but it looks just like the XO belt so I got it.

Personally, I like the Chief head buckles from Bergamot Brass Works and Indiana Metal craft. To me they look close to what is seen on screen just shape wise. Sadly we will probably never have a SA buckle like the one in Origins, because the movie one was inverted.

Oh. Okay with that distressing it looks exactly like mine. The patches were too short. But I'm glad it wasn't mine. As mine are solid and will never fall apart. I just wish I could find e time to do more of them. Alas...I'd have to also pay the upgrade to sell them here which I'm not you g to do in the near future.

Needa new one, weld on the back of mine broke.
There are always a bunch on ebay, of course you probably already knew that. Ever since I bought mine they send me emails ever so often, I'm unsure why though, it's like ebay doesn't realize I brought one on there. haha

OLF puts out a nice X2, but the dimensions are off on the sleeve gusset and the brown isn't dark enough and throws off the scheme with the mustard and burgundy. But keeping the X3 back panel was a cool touch. Love his take on the X3. I hear nothing but good things from OLF X3 owners.

Did you know that OLF used the X2 as a benchmark for the X3 Wolverine jacket?

What we really need is the best X2 Wolverine X men suit for the money. Everyone has the bicker jackets, no one has the X suit..... And it's safe to say the the X2 suit has the most screen time and is arguably the best of the X movies as of now. (most recognizable also)I researched them heavily and think I found one to meet my extreme pickyness. Once I buy it I'll post pics. it may be a few months. $399.99 total for the suit. I would be able to get it sooner the faster I sell my 1st Origins jacket ;)

The X2 and X3 jackets have the lest screen time, the X 2 jacket was barley worn by wolverine(but is the best of the 3 movies), and the X3 jacket is from the worst of the 3 movies. the X1 jacket and Origins jacket are closely styled (even though Logan left his Origins jacket in the plan Gambit piloted, so he did not get that back.) Even though Origins was not that great a movie that jacket has the most screen time followed by the X1. since they are closely styled they are both the most recognizable as wolverine. I was at the mall the other day in my Origins jacket and a guy stopped to ask me if that was the "Logan jacket"
