Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

If ya'll can't tell, it's a modified X3 from the back panel. He just trimmed the collar and took the gussets back.

Hey guys,

I've been searching for some days now but does anyone actually make steel claws for sale at all? I can only find aluminum replicas, but those aren't very strong.

Screen worn by Hugh Jackman!

Handles with an H on them identifying they are for Hugh. These are identical to other blades made with Jimmy Claws' exclusive mold, except they are soft blades instead of rigid blades. They have the same pvc, same color, but a lower durometer so that he could actually lunge in and stab someone without hurting them; as well as everything that led up to the point of contact is all usable on camera. So, instead of the entire scene generated with computer graphics, Hugh wore tracking balls or dots on his fists. this way he can go right in all the action that leads right up to the point where he stabs somebody is all usable on film. So the computer only has to do a small amount of work. That’s what they were made for and they were used several times. Because they are really safe, you can stab somebody on the side of the face and it won’t hurt them. They have a screen worn by Hugh Jackman providence. Original handles and wires and don't forget.......worn by Hugh! Produced using Jimmy's exclusive mold. This is a piece of authentic X-MEN movie history made by JIMMY CLAWS.

Lots more genuine, exclusive, X1, X2, and X3 pieces to come from Jimmy Claws. SNIKT

Hey guys,

You're not gonna find anybody who makes those. And besides you're not gonna want steel ones because, those will rust faster than a hungry lion pouncing on a gazelle, aluminum won't.

Nickel or Titanium won't rust like steel either. Anything with trace amounts of iron will oxidize. I have an aluminum set from 2005. Not the best, a little rough and the grip was a giant brick that was ungodly to hold and handle. Took me a month to get everything to fit in the palm of my hand comfortably and the wire around my knuckles. I found that wire coat hangers were the same gauge and made for a great fix when I needed to replace a connector from the claw to the grip.

Mine are stainless steel, they were made when X-2 came out and are official, but I can't remember what company made them. It's been over ten years now, hard to believe. They are cool, but they have a dull edge and I do not think they would hold up well if I tried to cut something with them (I think they would break off the handle). They look a little odd in my hands too. They are for display and it came with a X- plaque. No one makes steel claws that I am aware of, but they make stainless steel ones. I have seen a few on sale on ebay, bear in mind I can't speak for the quality of these I only have the official X-2 claws. Stainless steel is not completely rust proof, but for the most part it won't be an issue. Here is mine.

You can see me holding them in my avatar as well as the pictures on page 143 also.

Those are some very nice claws indeed. I guess stainless steel would be the way to go but I haven't seen any that match the blade cut from the wolverine films. If I could just find the blade portions themselves I would have them custom fitted to my hands.

Thanks man, yeah I like my claws. Stainless steel works good for Wolverine claws, but I would love to have some claws made out of titanium, however it is so hard to work with titanium because of its melting point and other factors. Just like adamantium. haha

Primo, your jacket looks great!

I recently saw this on youtube and actually liked the way this fan photoshop came out. thought I'd share here.

What do you think of my homemade Wolverine costume? Ok ok...the cowl is from reevz and I had to use those plastic claws because of my low budget ^^. My brother (dressed as venom) ran a Marvel-themed costumeparty and I decided to cosplay Wolverine but all I found to buy was crap. So i had the idea to make one by myself. I wanted to create something that might work in real life but I have to admit that this was the first costume i have not fully bought in any store.
What do you say how it looks? (Beside my skinny shape ^^)

As long as he didn't take reshoots and wears fake sideburns in random scenes haha. Hugh loves Wolvie and as long as they ask him, he'll take the role. Odd thing hit me about the future suit: the little symbols on the shoulders almost look like the bullet train logo in The Wolverine, almost lol

hi gus so i have a really cool comic book wolverine planned with muscle arms retractable claws clasic blue and yellow suit but i wanted to ask has anyone bought these View attachment 293088 and if you have are the claws a solid plastic like the rubies movie version i looking for a more comic book style claws rather then the movie ones and these look spot on as i need them to be con safe?
thanks guys

They are hollow plastic and attach to a plate that sits on the back of the hand. I used them myself for an Ultimate Wolverine costume years ago by removing the spandex and putting them inside fingerless leather gloves.

Do you have any pictures are they more cylindrical likelihood the comic ones or are they more like the movie shape?

Be great of you could :) if they are curved onto hopefully my idea will work the claws will be hidden under my false arms so it looks like they actually come out of the top of my hands
I can probably take a couple of pictures later as I still have them. They are kind of a semi circle shape, curved tops with flat bottoms.
