Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

As a bodybuilder? Yeah, his legs suck....As a character for a movie? The balance is fine...At 6'2", he's got the same issues Arnold had with leg development (minus calves), and looks to have side-on thickness, but a harder time building the width into the quads...Quite a common problem really...And for an actor, who needs to take other roles too? Well....The balance is fine...

You don't agree?

In either event, he'd still look silly in leggings, even if he had Platz's legs......For the same reasons that soldiers choose to not fight in them....Having a tight top makes sense, keeps the clothing out the way and allows you to layer with pockets and tactical vests...On the legs, carrying stuff and protection is more important....Unless you're jogging, or exercising? You probably can skip the leggings...

And yes, for superheroes, this isn't "right".......Hulk's pants also being flexible enough to fit him in both sizes isn't right...But it's done for effect...LOL...The X Men, all the way through, have tried to make it "believable"...One way they did this, was to eschew the whole idea of leggings and skintights....The skintight shirt this time is HOMAGE TO US...But you don't need to match that with leggings..

This ain't ballet... :D

Yep...I posted a second photo up there with the complete body to provide a better idea....

His legs are skinnier than I'd like, if it was me, doing it for me.....But he's an actor, taking other roles as well, and taller than me (and Wolverine), with all the issues that go into building legs on a height like that..Not impossible, but harder...Coupled with the idea that the lower half can be smaller than the upper, because he'll be wearing jeans or pants....Not leggings...(See above post)...

As a bodybuilder, he loses....As Wolverine? I'm happy to not see him in leggings as well...Essentially.. ;)

I'm guessing that this costume is the closest we are going to get to a comic outfit

that said I think it's very cool and works well

who's going to be the first to create it? :)

Yeah....I think the balance is cool enough...

I was just ragging on Comonbub for the leggings comment (Sorry mate...)...Hugh's legs ARE weak...He's put all his effort into the bits that show...(Fair enough, since Jackman's an actor, not a fitness dude, but still, Bub is spot on calling em "weak"...Although maybe not "chicken legs"....LOL).. :D

I'm hoping we can see and hopefully identify the undershirt as something commonly available....If it is? Dude, that's a cool assed undershirt...Even if it's JUST the shirt? I'd rock that with a jacket or two? Jeans? Hell yeah.....

Gotta see a little more of it though still....

I'm glad he is wearing tactical pants instead of leggings; leggings do not fit into the X-Men films in my opinion especially on Wolverine. I agree that he has "weak" legs, but from experience I know it is a little harder to build mass in longer legs (I'm near the same height Hugh is). The shirt reminds me of Under Armor or some performance athletic or military type wear.

The only thing I don't like about the image is that if the strap is broken or unfastened (which comonbub and nick daring commented on) it totally ruins the three stripes on the side of the chest effect, which is such a fan service and reference to Wolverine's comic costume. I like that his costume had stripes in the first 3 X-Men movies as well. But since the stripes look like they will be in the film I'm good! haha

Oh and since we are on the suit some fan did a Photoshop of the suit with the mask. This isn't my image I just wanted to share it here because it looks great, whoever did it did good job.

He does have skinny legs but I don't think I would call them weak. Check out the picture on this page:

Darkside..No, I agree...I meant "weak" as in "not good"..Not ACTUALLY weak......I've seen him deadlift halfway decent weights, so I wasn't thinking that...Like I said in reply to Comonbub, his legs are thinner than they perhaps should be for better balance, but they look thicker from the sides, and his height makes it hard anyway to build good mass there unless you DO devote yourself more to training, something Hugh Jackman, as an actor for different roles, can't really throw himself into....
I never thought there was an issue.....His legs aren't as well built as his upper body, that's all....

I heard how this one chick thought that Origins was a far superior film to The Wolverine...I laughed my ass off so hard. How can anyone think that Origins is a great movie compared to it. She said how it was sooo boring and all this other mess...Obviously, she didn't see the extended unrated version...

So, I paid my remaining Heron balance 3 days ago and hope to expect shipping soon, but of course, they didn't acknowledge the payment, nor have they replied to yesterday's inquiry about it. I don't know, maybe I am out of line, expecting fast email replies, but it's the least they could do after ignoring me for a couple months. =0\

Yeah...I had the same reaction from a mate of mine on Facebook..."Origins was cool, but I was bored by The Wolverine".....I can't figure it out..Do these people walk into different movies in the cinema complex? Cause....They ain't watching the same sh@t I am....Seriously....
Either that or they're just "nuts"...Which is always possible..
Even without all the extra blood and extra scenes, The Wolverine STILL aces the Origins movie in everything but jacket quality.....

Baffling....

I think the reason some people like Origins better is because it has more "mindless" action and is more of a superhero movie and The Wolverine is more character driven and less like a superhero movie, which is why I prefer The Wolverine. I like how The Wolverine feels like it is a movie exploring this awesome character and he just happens to have superpowers. Origins is okay, not good or great. Personally, my favorite is tie between X2 and The Wolverine. The only thing I didn't like about The Wolverine is the final act with Sliver Samurai, it was cool, but didn't fit into the more realistic tone of the rest of the movie to me.

Btw I found this pic. I am interested to see how Xavier is standing and how Beast looks human. This may explain Xavier walking in Origins and X-3, and also Beast's human cameo in X2.

Yes....I agree.......I enjoyed the balance between the character development, story, comic backing, and action scenes....Not too heavy on any one, but well played between them...I can't really find the same thing in Origins....It's not bad, at all...But it screws up the character some, messes with the history, has weaker characters (who should have been great! Gambit! Deadpool!), and removed some of the groundwork laid from the X-Men films before too...

Not bad, but it didn't fit in with anything really........The first half was better, but even then....Not a stunning film....My friend called The Wolverine "boring"......I was baffled.....Seriously.....

I suspect he just loves crap movies...But I'm not 100% sure...LOL

I was reading on CBM.com that Singer said that beast has a syrum that helps him go back to his human form...but he states that if he gets to a point he sort of "Hulks out" to beast mode...There's also another theory that Prof X camos him with his power when out in public which makes sense because if what we see of him standing is his astro projection stuff, I could buy that one a lot more and it would make sense with the cameo made in X2...I don't like the hulking out beast, though...

Thanks for the info comonbub! They seem to be trying to link the movies together. I am looking forward to seeing what role William Stryker plays and if him and Wolverine interact in the 70's.
Fifth, I couldn't agree with you more man, well said!
