Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Does anyone have a guess on what kinda material is on the breastplates or if its a print/coating? To me it looks like spandex-covered armor lol. The yellow on the front/side body looks like mesh because the edges aren't cut straight (in the broken strap picture) Either mesh or the common drawer mat LOL. the gloves and pants seem to have mesh fabric in em too. Wanna run and hide from sentinels might as well be breathable haha. The undershirt/blue+yellow would probly be dye sub eh?

Yeah..If he (Or anyone else) can make the under armour shirt, I'm down for that...The belt is cool as well of course....

Same here I really like the look of the costume in the new film

to be fair I think the x force costume is the only one that would work from the comics

Haven't seen the full version of it yet though. I'd rather wait for that until we see what it looks like without the armor on.

Yeah, of course....I said a while back that we would need to see the whole thing clear without the armour....But it does look like a good looking "Wolverine" based shirt and colouring...

The breastplate looks like carbonfiber to me. I am debating whether to try and do a run of the body armor vest. I guess it depends the most on how much time I have. I think I could make it so that it would be somewhat adjustable too so that it would fit a limited size range.

Count me interested :)

I've got foam and Plasti Dip waiting for more ref pics to build an armor vest :D Gonna look up some vids on painting a Carbon Fiber look with just paint :)

Check out some of the Mass Effect armor builds for tips on that.

I am not so sure it is carbon fiber though It almost looks more like a textured pattern. I wish we had some hi-res photos.

It would probably be easier to use a vinyl wrap or even hydro-dipping for the carbon fiber, instead of painting it. Might cost a little bit more, but it'd save you a lot of work.

The painting technique used on a lot of the Mass Effect armor is very simple, easy, low cost, and pretty convincing in photos. You basically paint you item matt black then take some of the small checkered kitchen drawer liner stuff and use a little spray adhesive on one side. Let it dry to where it is tacky and then apply to your item as a paint mask. Then take a gloss black and spray the item and then remove the mask. I can't remember if they leave it this way or if they then spray with a semi gloss or full gloss clear coat. May require some more reading or experimentation to see what you like best.
