Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Nice bone claws darkside501st, look just like the movie props. I like that Heron jacket too, trammell, is it fashion or biker thickness? Speaking of jackets I wonder what kind of jacket that Hugh Jackman is sporting in The Wolverine. To begin with, I didn't like it, but it is starting to grow on me. lol

Thank you. Anyone that likes them can have a set of their own. ;)

IDK, I still like the leather biker jacket look more. It is more my style too. Plus it doesn't snow where I live so having a warm coat like that wouldn't work.

Not to get off topic but I recently sent an email to herons for quotes on both their wolverine and a custome coat and hae yet to hear back from them.

Are they normally slow to respond to questions or is something going on?

I like his leather jackets more too. The main reason I like that particular coat is because it is similar to the one he wears in the comic The Wolverine is based on. It also looks like a coat that he wears in one of the Ultimate X-Men comics.

I'm starting to think the new jacket he's sporting in DOFP may be like the one from X-1...May be just the photo but to me, it looks like we've got that lightened up spot on the left arm where it looks like the stripe was ripped off. Hopefull we'll have more but I do know that his hair has to be a wig because he did an interview a few days ago and his hair was still short. Not anywhere near that long.

I'm starting to think that Wolverine doesn't take the offer from that dieing man, because if he did I wouldn't think he would be surprised when he stopped healing. In the interview with Hugh Jackman and James Mangold, they mention Wolverine's "kryptonite" which I hope is either carbonadium or Viper's poison. It might be something else that stops his healing factor, but it is just a thought. Also, I find it weird that he is still able to survive gun shot wounds like in the trailer. I have the old comic that The Wolverine is based on and he doesn't heal as fast as he does now, but over the years they have increased his powers. On a side note, I have read Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine and in that Nick Fury described Wolverine's power as the ability to survive as opposed to just heal.

My thoughts as well. Posted pretty much the same thing 4 weeks ago in the Wolverine film topic. I think that crap stuck near his heart is carbonadium, and slows his healing enough to make him grow old and die. Or some crap like that

Nah, 10 to 1 that he gets his healing factor back. And the new footage confirms he fights an "Iron Man" version of Silver Samurai.

The new footage looks amazing. The only problem I see is that his claws still look like they are protruding from between his fingers instead of his knuckles. At first I thought he might be using "fake" claws since his healing factors seems to be stopped at one point in the film and his hands would bleed badly if he extended his real claws, but in the footage he shoots his claws out and they look like the photo below. I realize it has been addressed earlier that the claw design has changed, but now it looks like the actual configuration of the claws has also been altered.

What're you talking about? The claws in the movies have always come from in between the fingers. They have not once come from the fingers themselves.

Not from the fingers themselves, dude, the space between them. Instead of the KNUCKLES. We're talking about a very small shift in location. The very top edge of the blade used to exit from the back of his hand, so that the visible top of the blade was about the same height as each knuckle. They've now shifted the whole placement of the claws lower towards his palm, so that the top edge isn't visible on the back of his hand at all. Some people think this looks more fake, like the actor is just squeezing dinner knives between the digits of his closed fist. It was likely done to make the claws more comfortable to wear.

Yeah, this is what I meant. Thank you for clearing that up. lol

I'd hate to be the one to break it to you, but that buckle design is the same one that's been in circulation for a long time, even down to the back with the serial number. I have that exact buckle. I'm willing to guess that this particular buckle was reissued and was the lucky one to be casted.

So how can another company do that and not violate there trademark? Or is it the same company? If it is tgabc who recast it how is it not the same thing as the original? Not that I give a rats ether way. It was super cheap and I love the way it looks...

I'm saying it's a recast of one buckle. That's it. It's the most common version out there, and I was informing you of it's commonality. I didn't want you to think it was a rare find due to the serial stamp.

You found the best version though, as there are others similar but not the right size/shape.

Well it's lame that its not original but I'm still happy with it. Thanks for letting me know. It almost feels like I'm on Maury Povich and you just came out and where like. Pearce..... You are..... NOT THE FATHER! Lol
