Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Still needs a lot of work as I haven't had much time over the last few days. But I finally have the sleeves maintaining some creasing to allow the length to be just about right I think. It's still a little wet in this pic. Sorry for taking it in the bathroom mirror

And yes, I know, I know...it's too clean!! :lol I'm getting there. But had to share for now!

Nice one! Looks like the sleeve shortening worked fairly well! That, when it dries and you get some "time put in" on it will be perfect I think! Nice work!

And yeah, it's clean... LOL... But you can see the shape suits you well, and now that the sleeves are working out I'd say you'll be in a perfect jacket in no time at all!

Nice one!!

............Digging the shirt too actually..

Uniqlo here in Japan (a big clothing company, similar to Gap in some ways but a lot cheaper..) recently got a contract with both Marvel and DC comics to produce a line of comic book shirts... I bought these three last week... And they're lovely!

The wolverine one first! Followed by the Batman and Superman versions! The Captain America one kicked arse too actually...May well be back there soon...LOL

Ah, and I've just resized the wonderful belt I got from Wade Egan last week... It was a touch too large, so I followed his instructions and shortened it by about 8cms more or less, and it's now a damned near perfect fit, with room to eat as well... Lovely...

Might as well show that off here eh?

Also, I've drybrushed the buckle just slightly, and have opted to leave it somewhat whiter than yellow right now, since the general public won't know Wolverine Origins belt from X-1... And I'm also ok with the white, as long as it's not blindingly white...LOL

I think I did a decent job, although I need a lot more tools and some practice to feel "safe" doing this again..LOL

Thanks for the help working it into a useable belt Wade! Appreciated Sir!

Uniqlo makes the best shirts. I wish the Gap was that cool.

Nick

Yeah, I agree...They do make some good stuff...I liked their Chinos as well...And shirts of course...The Marvel/DC line just cemented that for me...I love the shirts...Although they're a little too thin to wear right now...Give it a month or two.... The designs rock..Although the Wolverine choice isn't as good as I'd have liked...And they should have used some Jim Lee as well...LOL...(They do have Claremont..Which is something!

MJF, there should be no doubts there Sir....Mine haven't arrived yet, but they'll be here sometime next week I expect, and I'll fully expecting to love them to death!

Thanks and regards!

I appreciate "the love" on the dog tag project by all. Especially those who spread the word and rallied support. I know it was looking a bit iffy at the beginning.

If you purchased a tag and like it, please pass it along to other boards, etc... as I still have many remaining in stock.

I don't think anybody on here has a UD replica wolverine suit but THIS GUY will soon be getting one! I'm going allll out for Halloween. David emailed me back and they have plenty in stock.

Last sighting on Facebook was on Tuesday, nothing since then...I sent him a message there asking if he's cool..I'd assume he is...Tough dude right there...

I'm sure he'll be back here soon enough.

Sorry to worry anyone, been on vacation for the past two weeks. I'm back now in full swing, and I did receive both dogtags. Great job on them MJF. I had to age mine more as it seemed too clean but I will wait to give the other one to my son on his birthday next month. Thanks for all the hardwork, MJF. It's really paid off. :)

I don't remember you submitting your RPF Leave paperwork so I consider that AWOL and failure to man your posting... get it? Post, Posting.... :p

Anyhow, glad to hear you are ok and that you like the tags. I want to get some Aluminum Black and do some artificial weathering.

:lol nice. I see what you did there. ;)

Anyhoo, here's my quick distress job with a wire brush and a lighter to add some carbon for ageing.
