Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

It's not the weight that worries me, it's the friction from the constant movement of the tag on the chain. But then again, that sawing action is mostly from the lack of secondary smaller chain set up from X1. Maybe that might cut down on friction.

Tag update:

The rep cannot get a factory to do what I want. So I have replied asking if they can do it in bass (better weight/feel than copper) and plate it antique silver.

I am also going to check another company i used for tags. They may have better luck but I have been resisting using them because they now require a min order of 200.

I just been waiting till I got a quote because I just don't want 40 posts of "maybe, depending on price." But trust me, I would like this to progress too.

Yeah, on the filmjacket site. He pops in for updates and dips out. He hasn't been one to stick around to answer questions or PM's.

Maybe I need to read deeper into the thread but did anyone ever get a finished Heron jacket to see how it actually looks? I really like the pics I saw online that were posted and would love to have one but was simply curious

I believe of the X2 there are two members in this thread plus myself that own one. Have you contacted Jorge (Jeggs) about it yet?

I contacted him before and just sent him a PM now. The pics look great. Just was wondering if anyone here got a hands on review of the latest updates! :)

Oh, wow, I just found some pics back on page 35 from a member here. Hopefully I get a PM back soon. I see Jeggs hasn't been on here for almost a week now

Actually yes.

They said they could do the tags in brass with antique silver finsih. I am simily waiting on the quote. Most of the rest of the year, they leave on holiday. Which is fine because we still need to get pre-orders before we go any further.

The other company has no response. The usually POC I had there left over ayear ago so I have no direct line to a rep. I may try again

I am actually okay with plated brass. Is the plan to use nickel as the coating? Any thoughts on using silver?

Zinc or copper can be struck with a die easily, but leaves tarnish marks or creates a chemical reaction to surrounding salts on the skin. So the likelyhood of steel is out of the question due to hardness, and that pretty much leaves brass, as it tarnishes well, and doesn't leave the skin looking green like copper does. Did I miss that silver was ever an option?

Nickel plated brass sounds good to me! Having done tags before, do you have an idea what kind of price range these might run?
