Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I guess i was a bit Naive. I knew the jacket wouldn't be to comfortable at first. So i gave it the benefit for the doubt.

Well, I'm on the fence. The wife has asked for my Christmas and birthday list. I've gone round and round. Finally I'm down to two jackets: Logan's Closet / Vanson - either one of Dans X2's or a second one of his X1's. I have a Bates X2. I have a Danson X1 in horsehide coming this week. The difference? I want the screen accurate hides and have Dan do a screen accurate distressing job, con missing stripe. This jacket will do double duty - as a regular wear jacket in my rotation and as a display piece in my media/theater room. I've got a good collection of display props - from Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Maltese Falcon. I've just "retired" my TNO Crystal Skull jacket and AB Fedora (and other Indy wardrobe items) to a mannequin of sorts. I'm going to put together a Logan version now.

X1 or X2? Dan's X2 looks more accurate to my eye than my Bates. But the X1 was an original Vanson... A conundrum...

Thoughts?

Well, I'm a bit biased, because I've got a SA x1, but if I could have one other x jacket it would be Dan's fully distressed x2.

You guys are on the fence? Buy both, just not at the same time. ;)

...just make sure it's an X2 first choice though. :lol

I've made this agreement about duplicates - to thin-out the collections footprint on the closet. I'm sorta pushing the envelope by saying it'll be kept in the media/theater room. But your right. Lmao - you and I live on the same slippery slope, my friend. ;)

Hey guys. Been checking out this forum for about a year now, but haven't actually posted till now. Just curious if anyone's heard anything about ultimo. I found them on eBay, and they have some decent looking origins jackets. Not entirely screen accurate, but the price isn't bad. I'm on a serious budget lol. Any help would be great.

Just wondering, has anyone heard who will be doing the Wolverine 2 jacket? From what I hear, they start filming in the spring so things like costume design and production should be in work or about to by now.

Did my first event as Logan yesterday for the Phoenix Childrens Hospital here in AZ. Thought I post up one of my favorite shots from the event. I got photo bombed by Spidey!

Nice job maul - and hey, a simple photo crop and the not-quite-spidey sized Spidey is gone from your pic.
Awesome you guys are doing the childrens hospital route, those kids love that!

Yeah the crop will be happening for sure. I have done the PCH events before as Maul and love doing them for the kids. It's def a little easier to get kids to not cry as Logan than it is a Maul!

Hey guys, anyone know anything about this seller? Product looks really good, feedback is all positive. What do y'all think?

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

(Also, as a side note, y'all have great claws, you buying those from somewhere, or making them urselves? I have a pair of these... http://img.costumecraze.com/images/...4-Wolverine-Origins-Adamantium-Claws-main.jpg that I have modified with a pair of fingerless gloves. I like them because they look real but are plastic so I can get into most Cons and clubs, etc. But if anyone has a good alternative, im open to it.)

That seler is in collaboration with Heron leather, the jacket is pretty good. As far as the claws alot of people mod the halloween ones with a palm piece and heavy grade wire for the claws just like the film used prop!

I've been recruited for a gig at Riley's Children's and Peyton Manning's Children's hospitals. I believe I've been volunteered as either Indy or The Terminator for Halloween parties. Lord have mercy. Wonder if I can get away with a check instead?

FYI - I'm in LA for the screening tonight of Raiders with a Q&A by Steven. Pretty jazzed.

Re: Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws,

On the otherrr handddd, Tony..I just bought a watch face today..and also switched banks...Wells Fargo has done me wrong the past day on funding me the rest of that moola for your X2 watchband.

Re: Interesting Wolverine Buckle

Here's the back of the buckle. The brass crossbar is soldered in place, I'd feel more comfortable if it was pinned and soldered but it seems to hold up well as it is.
If anyone knows more of the origins and history of the Indian buckle in regards to Wolverine let me know.

Thought I would post this in case anyone else has one of these buckles and runs into the same problem.
As superDrool and I were discussing earlier the brass crossbar looks to be haphazardly soldered on and not long after I mentioned that it seemed strong enough mine broke (of course). I was trying another belt with the buckle and off it popped.

I've been wanting to do this anyway so I drilled holes through the ends and 1/4 inch into brass crossbar on both sides, tapped in a brass pin, spread a little epoxy, and it's in business again.
These SandyVal buckles are really nice, finely detailed, but not as durable as the Bergamot, IMC, and the Great American buckles.
