Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

You were talking about belt buckles that Wolverine "might" wear. After reading that and during a trip to St. Louis last week to visit the parents, I found this clearanced for $9 at Gordman's.

More of his X-Men side I thought.

Thanks Tom, I personally prefer the number 3, For aesthetic purposes, I noticed a little problem with suede mustard exposed, it showing the stitching burgundy suede through the mustard suede.

Can you show what you mean? From looking at Dan's X2 pictures on page 5 it looks like the suede is exposed as well (much like option 3). I wonder how the stitching is on that.

I don't understand why you would want option 3 it still has the inaccurate length of leather past the cuff. Option 1 matches the screen used leather with the short cuff........

Do you have any pics of the original sleeve cuff to show? I couldn't find any

Looking at the options, I think option 1 is the original length and all the rest are photoshopped. The actual folded leather was just like option 2 and three. Option 3 has the liner covering the suede all together so you don't see any unecessary stitching thread or suede. All liner. I personally like 2 or 3. 1 and 4 still have the excess folded in leather, so the issue would be unresolved.

On my rant earlier. I honestly think it wasn't any ill intent on Dan's side, just poor form on the vendor's part when Bates isn't here to defend themselves against that claim. Just not fair on Bates. As I've personally talked to the staff and they wholeheartedly stand by their X2 jackets and craftsmanship as well as standing fast by their prices. Which is understandable by a logistic standpoint when these are one-off jackets and NOT made in any batches like Vanson.

Its clear from screen shots that the leather doesn't extend that far past the stitching or you would see the cuff through the worn leather. Just like u do on my jacket.

I'm not disagreeing with you. As a matter of fact, I think you missed what is actually going on here. Here is the dilema again: The original pattern called for the leather cuff to be stitiched called a finished edge, if it wasn't stitched, it would be called a barrel cuff and if it was a raw cut, it would be called a raw edge. We have established early on from all the photos that it was the first, and in the pattern process we missed how far the leather continued on the inside, which is NOT that far ( 1/8" maybe), again, based on the images of the jacket (pre-molested) on the door.

Both our jackets are from the same basic pattern, lending to the same issue...too much leather folded into the cuff, giving the cuff that tough edging and over time showing through to where the leather stops. Which is not screen accurate.

Drool- I see your point if we are creating the x-2 jacket more accurate the cuff one is the most accurate option to the original bates, This represents a slight problem for me, the mustard suede on the inner of cuff will be exposed showing the seams of the burgundy suede, I will post pics coming soon.

Hey guys, I have been lurking this thread for a while now and thought I'd show my WIP Logan, I had to take this pic facebook style cause my wife was taking a nap :lol. Got a few things left to get, BUT other wise I am happy so far!
