Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Re: Ebay Wolverine jackets any good?

Yeah, well I didn't get Dan to distress it - I'm sure I can handle it.

Where would I get Isopropyl Alcohol? When I get it, just put it on a rag and begin rubbing?

Well, you did a great job, and it seemed like you kept in control, and knew what you wanted and got results. So I'd say you learned something and can pass on that experience of how to properly distress a jacket.

OK thread title changed... I did what you suggested Tony and now I'm happy with the shoulders. This is a crappy pic but u can see the difference is huge. This was taken at a costume party i went to the other night.

I ordered an X-2 from Dan about a month and a half ago. Last week a package came to work that looked like it could be the right size for a jacket, and even though I knew there was no way it could possibly be I was running around giddy like a kid at Christmas in the hopes that the jacket was inside. The rest of my day was ruined when it wasn't.

haha. Well if you guys want to know some serious pain, I ordered a replica hand made Indiana Jones fedora over 3 YEARS AGO and am STILL waiting patiently for it to arrive. Granted it's one guy making them (the original hatter to Harrison Ford on crystal skull) and there's a huuuuge waiting list, but I've been checking my mail box every day for that long... now that SUCKS!

I think if I had to wait three years for something I'd most likely forget all about it. That would make it a really nice surprise when it finally arrived, though.

Enervator, a month and a half would be a ridic short wait for that jacket. I ordered an Origins from dan last August and didn't get it until 6 months later. You're looking at 6 months to get that jacket, man. Sorry to say but it's worth the wait.

Oh yeah, I knew there was no realistic way my jacket was in there since the website says it takes at least twice that long for it to be made. It's not the first time I got my hopes up for nothing.

It's okay, I'm very patient. Actually, I'm not, but everything I've heard tells me this is going to be worth the wait.

And if the leather is being cut, you still have another 2 months left. Or at least that's how much time I had from the time I asked Dan on the progress of my jacket to the point I received it.

Yes, as a matter of fact I am in the Rat Pack. Want to make something of it? ;)

And I knew I had a wait ahead of me. Not a problem.

6 months is a long time but well worth it in this case.

3 years? I think that's moved past the "waiting" part and into the "ripped off" category

Re: Ebay Wolverine jackets any good?

Hey BAT - My versions sleeves fit just right of course. ;) I am travelling right now, but when I return this weekend I'll get a few more pics together for you on the sleeve fit, and also try to grab some measurements.

Dan, how do the sleeves fit when the zipper is fully open? Do you know what the circumference is around? I don't imagine I'll have my Heron sleeves zipped up very often since I want to show off the cool arm suede details, so if its tight when zipped up thats ok. But Im most concerned about the sleeves being too baggy when unzipped as the were on the last jacket I got.

I gave Jorge measurements of my well fitting motorcycle jacket of the sleeve circumference when unzipped, hopefully that'll do the trick but I was just curious about your Vanson.
