Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

:lol
Welcome back!!

As for Halloween, I've been toying with a complete look, not just a hat and jacket...

Got this cheapo eBay wig in last week and wanted to share on how it looks transformed from a sassy women's wig to a Wolverine/Logan wig:

and me being silly with the pomade

The wig isn't complete, as I'm still not happy with it's overall look. It's so choppy at the top as you can see, that I'm having to still work around the random areas.

The wig looks very natural which is the good thing, layering the wig might help with styling and overall look.

also wanted to get everyones opinion, I ended up picking up claws from the bay
The Best Halloween Costume Wolverine Claws Replica Prop | eBay

Do you guys think they are decent? plexiglass based and I went with these instead of aluminum or steel because all of the cons here do not allow real steel. picked them up for 140.00

I think I might go for more of a comic version of logan, less hugh style. might sport my x buckle. Now its onto 3 weeks of muscle building XD

I saw a pair of those plex ones in person and they were garbage. They needed so much work to ring them up to snuff, they weren't worth the price.

Guess im boned :cry. Ive heard alot of good reviews on the plexi glass based ones and I even remember rpf member "superman" made 2 renditions of plexi glass based claws

http://www.therpf.com/f13/better-set-wolverine-claws-90063/

Well the good news, like I said I can not bring steel or aluminum based weapons to cons up here in alaska. SOOOOOOO even if I have to put some love into these Ill work with it. Superman was selling his plexi based claws for 190 plus shipping so I guess It could have been worse, Ill see what they look like when they come in

Yeah I did get a little jipped on the price though, the seller accepted similar offers for about 100.00 but it was either spend 150.00 on a crappy frank the bunny outfit or on wolverine claws. Ill post pics at the end of the week when they get here. It was a late bday present anyways that my girl bought me. so Im going to hope for the best, and worse comes to worse sand, re-rub and buff and they will look good hopefully.

I already noticed the top flat sides needed to be sanded smoother. Here's hoping you don't get popsicle sticks!

I just walked myself into a short anxiety attack :unsure this is why Im so hesitant to use the bay for buying stuff, all the other postings were for metal based ones or one from canada that I wasnt sure on how long it would take. I really hope I dont get burned

emailed the seller, might have been kind of a @sshole thing of me to do but asked him to recheck sanding and make sure everything is uniform and solid as I dont want to re-send it back because I need it in time for halloween. the overall shape looked good, just the sanding which looked to have uneven swivel probably from a electric sander. Less stress now about it, saw the video great stuff!

Wolverine to Join X-Men: First Class 2? - Movies News at IGN This is going to hell now. Singer is now talking about having Jackman as a role in First Class 2. I have no idea how that is going to work.

Same as his cameo in FC1? Age is not an issue - right? Continuity and timelines have already been butchered so I expect more of the same until they finally put a fork in it.

On claws - I paid $50 for stainless ones that rock...

Wasn't a fan of Superman's claws. I saw a set on ebay and the middle claw was a lot shorter than the other 2. They suck for the price.

well I cant use live steel or metal at my cons so im stuck with resin and plexi based ones. Ill do a full review when I get them, they look pretty decent to me.

Sorry - my mistake. I paid $90. The buckle was $50...

Personally, I like them...

Those look like the ones (minus the black wood grips) you can get a pair for $30.

11" Wolverine Claw Fantasy Dagger Unsharpened Edge

I've seen people selling and buying them for much more on ebay. I'm not really sure why. I've already decided to pass on them because the blades are evenly spaced from each other (the outside blades do not V out like the ones in the movie). Another problem I've seen from others who show them in photos is that the tend not to fit against the hand very well unless you have large hands. You can see what I mean here: http://thedarkblade.com/more-wolverine-claws-a-production-prop/

The section that comes over the knuckles as much as some of the better fan made ones that I've seen.

BTW: I think they are the same ones used in the SNL sketch I posted above.
