Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Xkage - So both the color swatches and this distressed jacket are pictured in natural daylight... but the biggest difference will be from the distressed treatment, on this specific jacket it does give quite a dusty look to the Dark Brown. And the Amber Tan has been hit with alcohol so it is a bit lighter than how it started out as well.

Thanks for the insight
helps me understand that massive color difference better.

Hey guys so I got around to painting my eBay buckle to look more like the real sitting bull! I used Testors enamel paint and it worked like a charm!

That basically means all the stuff I don't have time type for you guys to understand what she puts up with, about this obsession of mine. :lol

Put it this way... I am on the verge of planning a trip to Vancouver to see Hatley Castle(X2/X3), and planning on adding an old Camper to my Ford F250 like in X1.

That would be a fun trip, but if you go, it is actually near Victoria, on Vancouver Island.

Yep. I've done a little research and a ferry from Seattle is all it takes. Pretty convienient really. Hey Ryan, don't forget to color Sitting Bulls headdress band green. ;)

Well I was going to but there seems to be a clear resin type material there that no matter what I tried I could not get it off. I figure if thats the only problem with it, I can deal!

Yeah, I believe the plain brass buckles do have a coating on the surface, but that can be removed and chipped away fairly easily. But it the enamel paint came out looking really good. I used acrylics on mine and sealed it with a clear coat. It has since been distressed and most of the raised detail is worn away.

I know a tad off topic and a REALLY bad attempt to change the pic..but IF there were a way to have gotten anyone to play WOlverine...my vote would have been ole Charles Bronson when he was young....give hime 6/7 months to pump some iron (although he was always in good shape..quite the athlete in his prime) but to bulk up more...with those eyes and face....the weathered and roughness are there...not taking anything away from Jackamn..just body and face and heigth ..ole Charlie really got the look

Yeah, I remember his name, as well as Eastwood's, Crowe's, and Danzig's were tossed around back in the hay day. A LOT of fan-boy purists are still in arms about Jackman's casting.

That looks really good! To take the shininess away and give it some instant wear I rubbed mine with gritty river sand, worked great.

You can do that, or you can drive through the lower mainland, visit OLF and studios, and catch a ferry from Tsawassen

Have you been to Hatley Castle before? I've seen tourist images and it looks absolutley stunning at any angle. The vines that grow on the walls really set the tone of age and prestige of the joint. I can see why they chose to use that location for two films. To me, that IS Xavier's home and school for the gifted. ;)

It is an impressive place. I haven't seen it recently but visited it a few times while it was still a Military Academy. I think you'd have a great time, but as I said if you go you should also take a side trip to Vancouver and visit OLF, the studios, etc.

What's are the points of intrerest at the other sites? I know OLF made the screen worn X3, but other than that, I have no idea why else I should see Milos. When you say studios, you mean film studios?

There are many things to see in Vancouver. Granville Island, Stanley Park, Gastown. Then there's Victoria which is a little piece of the UK. The gardens and the museums. The studios? Eh... It's not like LA... And Milos has done more than X3 - he's just a lot more humble than some?

You may find Milos shop interesting, he also has done much more movie work than X3.
Yes film studios. There isn't much these days that isn't filmed or processed in Vancouver. Not just TV shows. Almost makes LA like just a remote HQ.
The studios are extensive, but almost well hidden.

Agreed - didn't mean to minimize the studios. Not sure if Nick is a member here, but he's on COW - and he worked as a stunt guy on Smallville, X-Files, and is a regular on the Disney movies shot up there. It's a real studio - it just doesn't have the history and feel of those in LA or around London.

Since the dollars weakened, a lot more has migrated back to LA though. It's not quite what it was in - 2007-2008.

If I feel froggy, and have the time, I might go see stuff outside Victoria, but for now, it's just the Seattle/Bangor and Victoria area. I have friends there and maybe we can make it a joint venture. But since I'm the only nerd of the group, we might make it a wife and I thing, because I can see if I mention "X-Men" at any point, eyes will start to roll...
:lol

Well, as long as you get either/or a Dick's or Kidd Valley burger while in Seattle. Oh, and for fish-n-chips? Spuds or Sunfish in West Seattle. I prefer Spuds. For Sunfish - they only take cash.

I'm making myself hungry...

Welcome back!!

As for Halloween, I've been toying with a complete look, not just a hat and jacket...

Got this cheapo eBay wig in last week and wanted to share on how it looks transformed from a sassy women's wig to a Wolverine/Logan wig:

and me being silly with the pomade

The wig isn't complete, as I'm still not happy with it's overall look. It's so choppy at the top as you can see, that I'm having to still work around the random areas.
