Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Ninth email to Heron just fired off, last one was two and a half weeks ago.

Part of me says to give up on it, but I'd at least need to hear from them if I wanted to try and get my deposit back anyway. I would love to know if they'd be willing to alter the jacket if needed based on changes in my *own* size in the months i've been waiting.

Bad news: Didn't get a chance to discuss customer email responses (Primo), nor discuss the tweaks for the X1 pattern.

I like the 70's jacket, but I like his other jackets better. You guys have probably already seen these, but here are some shots of the jacket from Entertainment Weekly.

I can't wait to see Heron's version. Vanson's version looks awesome.
Here are some production photos Bryan Singer posted. I'm hoping what Hugh is wearing is another jacket, but it is probably the same jacket since it looks like 70's Wolverine.

Wanted to share Dan's photos of my new Wolverine Origins X0 jacket.... He's been working slowly on it for me to get the colours close to what I wanted, as well as the skin thickness for this jacket, which was thinner than my X1, but still heavy enough to be decently warm in Japanese winter...

And then distressing it for me as well....I know Dan loves doing the work, but it does take a long time, and I was prepared for that when I ordered...I'm glad I asked him for it, because it looks absolutely SPOT on for me right now...

Thanks Dan, this is BRILLIANT mate!

And now, the jacket...


I also ordered this one, and Dan will be sending them both over to me this week....


Although it's not a Vanson, Dan changed over the zippers for me since he felt they were weaker and would need the bolstering! Very cool! Thanks mate!

@wolf, yeah it is kinda except if I was caught wearing that, I'd look like a damn hipster and that I'm not cool with. Maybe with an alteration of the collar as an option I'd be down but it's still not there yet, I know it's probably going to be until this Fall until we can see what the rest of the jacket looks like with a bluray in hand.............On the suit, yeah it's finished but I got hit with obamacare and that drained my wallet so the costumer has it on hold for me until I make the rest of the payment. I thought I updated the thread with pics of that guy she had model in it for me? That thread isn't dead, though. I'll be in suit on Halloween.

I will say this, though. Our OLFs look totally different, I've let my naturally age and it's worn away at the leather like in the film and the blue on the jacket will darken up nicely as time goes on as will the creme stripes. It actually helps to wear it in the rain believe it or not, I think that's how the blue parts darkened. The brown hide has me curious though, mine was a lot darker and had a bit of shine to it when I got mine from Milos, did Dan age it at all with a brush? I'll have to take updated pictures of it to show you guys mine.

I've not gotten it yet..These were being sent by day's end today, and I'm here in Tokyo, so it'll be about a week until I get the chance to wear them.....Dirty girl that I am.. Heh..

And no, that's not an OLF....Dan mentioned that it was made by a company he was in touch with to test what else he could get outside of Vanson to make the jackets he sells at Logan's Closet...It wasn't overly expensive, so I decided to throw in a bet on eBay for that too and have them both shipped out to me at the same time...The X0 was what I wanted, and what I'm most excited about, but the X3 fills in the blanks, I like the blues and browns, and the size was right too, so I figured I might as well get both and get closer to finishing the line..
Dan replaced the zipper because he wasn't sure about it with the non-screen accurate one....So replaced it with what he had to get closer...Decent of him!

Yeah, the model is nothing how the suit would actually fit on me since it was tailored to my muscle so it looks a little weird on him, and with the cowl, gloves, belt and boots i got, I'm hoping it'll look legit.

Fifth, when you get it, you mind taking a close up of the sleeve zippers, I'm interested in seeing what brand they are. I thought for sure that was an OLF because I know look of that leather anywhere...I know he had on hand an OLF a few years back to compare to the one he made, not sure if he used that for tweaks on the vanson original design or not.

Hello, new member here.....just wanted to drop in really quick and ask - does anyone know where I can get a decent set of Wolverine claws that would fit my 7 year old's hands? Also something not too dangerous that he's going to hurt someone? I have a cheap $10 pair that I got at Halloween but they're made for bigger hands and I have to do some Photoshoping to get rid of the flesh colored hand parts when I take pics of him.

Also I'd rather not spend $150 on claws for my 7 year old.

Dan said that this jacket was built for him by a company he was in touch with to replicate the OLF design..They used a heavier, more substantial leather than the OLF design, although it's still somewhat softer than the Logan's Closet leathers when brand new...
They used basic YKK type zippers on the sleeve, but the main front zipper was a wire pull tab, not the correct design, so Dan changed it out for a Vanson one...It looks more accurate..
There are slight differences between all three jackets, the OLF, the Logan's Closet and this one, but they did a decent job here in trying to get something right for Dan at the time....Dan then nailed it down and worked that into his Logan's Closet designs I would guess....

This jacket was a prototype, just testing the waters....OLF made the original X3, but Dan got this from a company before working all the design changes out and getting them through Vanson for his final sale models....So no, none of his jackets are made by other vendors...Just sometimes he'll have a one off that he's grown out of and he sold this one to me on eBay...That's all..

Thanks fifth, I realize all the jackets he sales are made by Vanson. I figured it was an one off, I was just wondering if he had any of the other versions of Wolverine's jacket made through this company or another company as a custom one off. Probably not, it looks like whatever company he used did an excellent job on it!
