Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Guys, just saw the unrated extended cut that leaked online. You guys are going to geek out at that ninja scene O_O it was SO good. I mean we're talking final destination rated R bloody.
 
It's better with all the bits left in right? Makes a lot more sense with Yukio arriving too......Works better....

As does the "love hotel" scene....I was sorry that the extended version didn't have the spare costume being shown to Wolverine, but that aside, the extended version does indeed fill in a lot more of the story...Very well done I thought..
 
Does it show when he claws and blows up the plow thingy while fighting The Black Clan? I remember seeing pics of it and I think it was in one of the trailers too

YES! And the motorcycles involved wasn't as tacky as people think, it was badass. And Mangold mentioned that the costume being left out was due to DOFP because he's not wearing it and all. Makes more sense.

Jlez, yes it did show all of the ninja stuff from the trailer and a lot of ninja scenes that WEREN'T shown from the trailers which was surprising, it showed A LOT of blood gushing as claws made contact with bodies as well. CGI was great IMO. It goes to show how much something small can make a film great. Mangold for sequel definitely, the extended tops X2 by far. He also drops another F-bomb in a earlier part of a movie so look out for that. I just can't get over the small scenes added to it, Mangold to me captured what Singer will never and I loved Singer's X-Men movies. I may be wrong with that quote since we haven't seen DOFP yet but still...Fox has definitely upped it's game after seeing First Class and now this movie. I just simply cannot wait until this next one. I really hope they come up with a good story for another solo outting. That said, I want to say with all the scenes added, it was about 2 hours and 15 minutes in length. I'm telling you guys, that scene with the ninjas makes up any possible downs everybody saw in the 3rd act, I mean we're talking Final Destination blood here. Yukio was just pure badass in that scene, it makes you love her character more.

D'OH apologies for the double post, but I forgot, they never showed the part where the ninjas wrapped him up in chains.

AND WAIT, WUT?! Saw the end credits and it says "Stan Lee" executive producer??? THE Stan Lee?

I watched 2 or 3 added scenes, Ill have to wait a few weeks for the whole movie. Yea I caught the "too many **** wars"
 
I think with a extended more r rated bluray is the way to go. Means that studio happy as they make more money and fans are happy as they get the version they want on bluray. Can't wait to see extended cut will watch it Friday :)
 
I didn't notice it being wildly more violent and blood filled than the original, although there are more scenes where the claws can be seen cutting and stabbing, and maybe that's what you saw?

The filled in scenes do certainly add to the movie's story, and it all works a little smoother with the returned scenes, but I still wouldn't say this is an overly "violent" movie...It's not.....Even with the ninja clan being ripped into better...

It all works a lot better with the extended scenes left in, which I like.....

I've been trying for 3+ weeks to get hold of someone at Heron, multiple emails, still no response...

No word yet and it's T + 8 days since the proposed finish date. =0( I'm not sure what goes on, there, to make them so unresponsive lately.

Sorry to hear that!! I can't believe that. I'm sure your will get it soon, but that is just crap customer service to not let you know what is going on. I can't believe their lack of response with future customers, let alone paying customers like you! I realize this is probably their busy season and everything, but honestly, it would just take a minute or two literally to respond to emails...
I don't get it either..:confused
 
Got another kmart jacket for $35 shipped on theBay, I wanna add some upholstery foam to the inside (adding warmth and stiffnness) then get rid of the sherpa-like liner and put in some cotton quilt liner with inside pockets. Probly use rubbing alcohol to rub off the dark on the stripes, rather than painting them like on my first one. The base color is a medium brown underneath the dark cover. I just sent a update request on my XO, last time I asked for an update was a week ago

Don't feel to bad. I've been trying to deal with Dan at Logan's Closet.. No returned phone calls, Emails or Facebook messages.. Last time I herd from him was two months ago today. He told me he would have a update for me the next day... I've still had no word from him after 60 days...

Well, looking at it objectively it appears that even the professionals have the same issue as the hobbyists sometimes. We've all read the threads about a guy being late with updates or deliveries on the run of a prop; this is just the same thing with a more corporate face - Dan's jackets cost 2x what Heron's do but the actual interactions and CS are the same. It's just small teams and one-man operations. I am trying to remain non-angry about it myself since it wouldn't help, though today is pretty cold and windy and I could really use my X1 jacket right about now.
 
Yeah I here ya.. It's 17* here in MI right now... I got a Wested X-3 to hold me over.. Talk about a poorly sewn coat..

Nothing is even or sits right. The pleats wont even stay inside the coat. They always pop out when I reach forward and stay popped out and crumpled, they just never lay flat.. The inside pocket is crooked also. It was very rushed and no care was given at all.. Witch is crazy to me. You would think That they would have a top notch product coming out of there... I'll post pic's one day because this is just crazy that they would ship a jacket out like this. Oh yeah one more thing.. The cuff of the sleeve is so wide even after being zipped up I could put my foot through like a pair of pants! I obviously had to take it to a taylor lol
 
Pearce, that's too bad to hear! I got an update on my XO and its currently in production. I'm layered up in my flannel, denim vest, and kmart Wolvie jacket, gettin purdy cold where I am too, around 20-25 right now :eek
