OW MY HANDS rofl .... as i work on this project i have been recording the entire thing on video ....so once this part is all complete you will all get to see my crappy editing skills once again in a new youtube video! ... and well here is my progress thus far
my hands are kind of destroyed from all the sculpting ... hot gluing .... cutting ....wearing .. by the way this thing weighs SO MUCH ... ... i am going to end up with one big beefy arm for good measure

So this weekend has been pretty eventful as far as pushing this project has gone
TOOLS USED
-Super sculpey
-hot glue
-latex coated garden glove
-stained glass nuggets
-project cardboard
-beer
Chose to build on a glove so my gauntlet had some flexibility in the fingers ... here is my progress after today..

Great work so far! Cant wait to see the rest of it...Id recommend a latex body casting so you can get the rest of the details of the suit right.

That's a lot of hot glue. But in the end it'll look completely organic. Is there a plan to cast this to lighten it up some?? Must weigh 5-7 lbs. :/

OH MAN I LOVE THE BODIES EXHIBIT! i spent hours staring at ligaments like a creep and no one thought anything of it ... i am profoundly upset cameras are not allowed in that place especially after spending 50 bills to get in ... especially if you do not intend to use flash ,disturbing people in the museum .. i really would have loved to have photos for reference ..and thank you ronin

hahaha! wow its been years since i been there and i did not think about the fact that EVERYONE and their grandmother has a smartphone now .. has to make it difficult for them to enforce their no camera policy

Yeah that looks sweet! BTW, there's something that will get you similar effects to the glue: Water - Woodland Scenics - Model Layouts, Scenery, Buildings and Figures It's for modeling water, but it dries clear and lets you do a lot of stringy effects like that. Using that stuff is the full extent of my sculpting abilities. :lol
