Been playing around with a casting of the body....I knew for a while that there was something wrong with the body but took me a while to realize it. The middle of the body was too short by 2mm, not much but it did change the angles and character of the whole body. That was the small change, the bigger problem was that the back end was too tall by about 8mm, this was enough to really change the angle on the back end....in short, my at at had a big butt....
I also took the opportunity to round out the middle panels a bit, they already had a bit of a curve to them but needed a little more. It's hard to tell sometimes but the at at does not have flat panels in that middle section.
Anyway i took a zero shrink casting by using a super slow setting resin and casting it when it was about 20 degrees out, i have been slowly making changes and other than a few panel lines and a couple of details, it's just about done. Some comparison pics with the original to show the differences....
