What's up with the Kardashians?

Leave Ryan Seacrest and The Kardashians alone

As Joel McHale is prone to saying she is famous for having "A big a&& and a sex tape".

Maybe I'm just too gay, but I see nothing attractive about Kim Kardashian. Call me crazy, but she just looks ridiculously fake and manufactured. She projects an image of commercialized beauty that people have been socialized to regard as beautiful.

I don't think it's bad to think that since I agree with you.

@TheDoctor, the first few times I heard it, i kept thinking they're mispronouncing it, their cardassians. But I was wondering how they got their own TV show :)

They're creepy and they kooky, Mysterious and spooky. They're all together hooky, they're the Kardashian Fam-il-y.

Kim = Morticia
Kris = Ma ma
Bruce = Uncle Fester
Robert = Pugsly
Kourtney = Wednesday
Kloe = Cousin It

Wait for it....

Wait for it....

And introducing Kris Humphries as Lurch, the silent, but creepy butler.

There you have it. Does it make sense now?

Hey if I could get famous for doing nothing I absolutely would. I don't fault her and her sisters for anything they do. I do fault Reggie Bush for not keeping her though. He won't get to do this again

Sure the Kardashian's are sort of the poster children for "famous for being famous", but you can't really put the blame solely on them. Almost all celbrities today are guilty of this.

Back in the past, you achieved success in your field (movies, tv, music, ect) and becoming famous was a result of this success. Ultimatly success is what fueled the fame.
Now it works the opposite way. The focus is more on the celebrity, and your level of fame determines how high profile your next project is. Our culture has become so focused on the celebrity status that the succes needed to get to that point has become secondary almost to the point of being irrelevant.

No it's not, it's all over that body.

Come on folks some stuff is just empirically beautiful.

Regardless of your opinions.

Their types of "celebrity" are the worst. But it is a free country. Mostly.

But thats the problem that I spoke about a few posts up. Almost all celebrities are becoming like this.

Think about the top celebrities today that are always in the news. When is the last time any of them did anything in thier field of work big enough to justify the continued level of fame they are recieving?
