To be clear, I'm not trying to knock anybody who thinks she is "hot," but one must be aware that this is a socialized response.

Have you seen renaissance era paintings? While the women weren't fat per se, they were more "full figured" than people like Kim Kardashian. If she showed up in that era, she would not be beautiful. Point is, societies set different standards for beauty. In this period of time, aided heavily by media saturation, the standard for beauty is thin with big breasts. Kim gets extra points for having an "exotic but not too exotic look" by having partial Armenian ancestry.
 
I dunno. I think her face has some striking features, and of course, her ample bosom is enough to make her hot for some guys.

Personally, I'm on the fence. I think she be great looking in some photos, but then I'll see a random pic where her a$$ looks like you could land the space shuttle on it and she turns me off.
 
pfft. Kim's all done up thanks to plastic surgery. Prior to going under the knife multiple times she was stunningly mediocre. Praising this broad's looks is like fawning over a cartoon.
 
I have to say, Oscar Wilde was initially famous for being famous, perhaps the very template of the phenomenon. And he went on to do some interesting things. Maybe one of the Kardashian brats will write a really awesome book someday...

Yeah, really. I flat out reject the notion of universal beauty and I think it's pretty patently clear that this is the case. There are tribes in Africa today where the fatter you are the better, because weight indicates wealth.

If Kim floats your boat, more power to you. But let's not act like she is a paragon of beauty across time and space. She reflects what western society finds fashionable in this period of time.

And hot is hot. No matter what you label it.

God help me for coming to the defense of the Kardashians, but...

Their dad was a famous lawyer. Their mom was a model. All three girls are models, although Kim is by far the most successful. Their stepdad is an Olympic Gold medalist.


THEN they got the reality show and became insane famous.

You wanna talk famous cause they're famous? Look no further than Kourtney's baby daddy, Scott.
