What's the big deal with moving triggers?

I just tell everyone that all of the guns are loaded with the safeties off and they don't even touch the triggers.

Having a working trigger on a prop isn't a deal breaker for me. However, the props with the working triggers and clickety-click actions get more play time. I love my BSG Blaster from Matsuo. I had him build it on an airsoft so I can have the working trigger.

Having grown up with toys and later airsoft... I guess I'm spoiled. It cannot possibly be THAT more expensive to make a functional version. Or am I wrong?
