what the hell is an FX-Q lightsaber???

i keep asking and asking but the threads are so over flooded with naysaying and pointless speculation on stuff that there arent even prototype pics of yet...

but one thing that is set in stone, yet makes little to no sense is the adding of the letter Q to some pre existing FX sabers.

worst case scenario... rerelease of the same sabers.

best case scenario... Q stands for quality, and the sabers are scaled down a bit from the previous behemouths that were the anh vader and esb luke (maybe think about an ep2 ani if thats the case)

middle of the road... same hilts with better electronics etc.

so what up?

i know amy knows, id be willing to bet barry knows?

anyone else?

PLEASE.

and for the love of all that is holy... show more pics of the obi ep1/2 saber PLEASE... PLEASE.... PLEASE... with sugar on top, i dont care if its a prototype, you can PM it Email whatever...

thanks in advance...

I'm very curious about this myself.

I'm also exicted to F-I-N-A-L-L-Y see an EpI/II Obi. Hazzah. :thumbsup

I don't think it would be removable blade unless that goes with the "Joe Jedi" thing. Reason would be, that unless they make "normal" FX's cheaper they would price them higher. A removable blade would eat their potential for a CE version. ESPECIALLY if they get more accurate.

thus the point of this thread.

the question... WTF?

the answer...

Amy?

barry?

informed RPFers?

someone knows...

like i said many times about the removeable blades... unless they make a perfect failsafe locking system... it aint going to happen.

Hello Everyone.

I am really not at liberty to talk about the FX-Q as of yet. I can tell you to not get to worried about it because it it likely we will not be doing it. There are some things on the flyers that will not be done.

And just to comment on the "rehash" remark, the FXs are not limited editions so we may rerelease some of the ones that are currently sold out in the future.

so basically... you were going to do the removeable blades, but probably arent due to the fact that

1. you might get sued if some kid smacks the crap outa another kid because the safety lock wasnt on, or...

2. it takes the point out of making saber hilts, esp the CE line because why would you buy that when you could just get the FX...

am i warm?

my educated guess is its both. ;)

but dang it would be cool. :(

oh well just keep making them the way you do that way freaks like us can dismantle em and void any possiblility of you getting into trouble because it was ust that tampered with it. B)

but ummm... yeah any pics of the ep1/2 obi?

and which is it? some think they are the same some think they are different...

The FX-Q did not have a removable blade.

I think the answer to the general question, what is an FX-Q, is an
FX-Qui Gon Jinn Lightsaber.

ha ha.

alas no... the Q was added to be FX-Q ONLY on the FX's they had done before, ie the vader ANH and luke ESB... so it had to be just a smaller and more accurized hilt. :(

hmm... i shall bump this thread with great interest.

(although i think we arent going to get any more info on this)

:(

I am confused and excited and disappointed all at the same time. I saw that flyer image at Force-FX.com with the Obi Ep1/2 on it and I freaked out. Now I don't know how to feel...
