What is your 'grail' and do you own it?

This may seem ridiculous to some but this was a grail of mine that I was able to get from its owner a few years back!!!

Im a big fan of the TREMORS franchise - And my favorite character is Burt Gummer...

Anyhow - I always wanted his hat from Tremors (Part 1) - But I guess it was given to a museum or a Planet Hollywood, so this is the next best thing....

Burt's hat from Tremors 2 - with COA from Michael Gross himself

Oh, there are so many things to want. A screen used Mal Reynolds Oil Can gun, a 1:1 Narnia wardrobe, an Elder Scroll. It's constantly changing honestly, but I guess my main grail at this moment would have to be a fully functional Assassin's Creed 2 Hidden Blade. I've been trying to engineer one off and on for about a year and a half, and hopefully I'm getting close to getting the design right so I can start on it (keeping my fingers crossed).

T800 Endoskeleton, Sideshow version would do. Colonial Marine Armour by Terry English. Screen accurate ESB Boba Fett Helmet, patiently waiting for the eFX.

An original RoboCop 2 GQ RoboSuit. Awful, awful film, but such an absolutely gorgeous update to the first film's suit (my fav film of all time) that I can almost forgive the movie for crashing and burning the entire franchise simply because it brought that beautiful, beautiful suit into existence. 24 years later, and it's still my holy grail.

Naturally, there is not a single one in existence. They were refurbished for RoboCop 3, and then summarily destroyed by Bottin after filming. I think the only way I could be satisfied with a replica is if it were pulled from the original molds by Bottin himself and then painted by James Clark while I stared over their shoulders.

I don't think the odds are in my favor.

Got one of mine! A fully functional, made-from-the-real-molds Fats vent. figure (don't use the "d" word!) from the movie "Magic" with Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret and Burgess Meredith.

100% an Ecto 1.

When I was a child, I replicated Ecto1, from GB2, out of Legos. I had the movie on pause and pics from a sticker book for reference. In my mind, it was perfect. Woulda been kinda cool if I never took it apart. lol

Sadly, I will never own a full size version. There is a guy on here doing a build right now... I don't like him (completely out of jealousy ;))

EDIT: More on the realistic side of things?

A fully functional Proton Pack with lights and sounds (I had no idea I was such a GB fan :eek )

Also, a pristine, un-modded, Graflex 3 cell flash handel. This one isn't that hard to come by on Ebay. Kinda weary if they are real or China made knock offs. If anyone has a good source for one and it's original lemme know... bet no one around here has heard that line before. lol

Believe it or not, this is my grail. it might not mean a thing to anyone else, but it does to me. I visited the prop store of london and found this stargate monocular/scope that was supposedly used by teal'c, I really wanted to add it to my collection but they would not sell it until they could identify it's use in stargate SG-1. So I went home, re-watched stargate, even took pics to christopher judge who played teal'c, he could not identify it. Prop store said they'd contact me when they sell it, but they didn't. They sold it to rkpetersen. He now owns it. I just hope some day I have the chance of acquiring it! Just thought I'd post here.

Marty's denim jacket from BTTF. There is actually a thread and reddit post right now trying to find the original that was given away in a contest from Teen Beat magezine.

heh, more realisticly, a mystic seer or invader from twilight zone

Mine is a perfect, or near-perfect, replica of the Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber from The Phantom Menace. When that movie came out, I was a senior in high school, and was all about that particular lightsaber. I've owned Larbel's replicas, but have sold them over time (to which I heartily regret!).
