What’s Everyone Working on During C19 Quarantine?

Nice to see a myriad of props being shared here. Here's a follow up to my earlier post.

Finished my Fieldmarshal DL-44

Also finished a DT-29 for a client. The kit was provided as-is so I cannot vouch for its accuracy. I just assembled and painted it.

Also I don’t know why I printed The Mandalorian rifle, so now that’s on my list

my wife is a district nurse so I’ve also been making safety visors for some care homes she visits

This is the starlord figure I’ve also been working on, nearly complete but the head is not the one I will be using

Still amazing things being done here.
No progress for me just need a few parts to keep working on my saber. I supppse I could finish the activation box and wire it up.
Then I would just need a high drain 18650 to finish the chassis.
Oh I went to the hardware store and they didnt have any 4-40 thread taps. So I cant thread my chassis to the bottom of the choke like I planned.
Anyway those are my excuses lol

No way dude we built the exact same saber! Hahaha!!
And I always wanted to use one of those as the base of a custom blaster. Very nice taste sir!
Jist a tip for you next time: to reduce the diameter of a round object, clamp a flat file in a vise, put your knob threaded end into a drill and press down on your file at full speed. Essentially a rudimentary lathe. And yes I know a rock doesnt have any vulnerable spots ;)

Hahahaha, thanks for the advice man! I didn’t even realize how ineffective my sanding was until I was editing and saw how little it had worked. I thought about cutting it, but I thought it was really really funny and showed honest failure, so. I’ll remember that if I have to do something like that for next time!

Wow, I am stunned. These are really incredible, they look like high quality 3D models, like they’re big even real. I recently built a custom blaster and posted a video of it, but these put that to shame, man. Very well done.

Finished my Samaritan and one of my Dave Goldberg snub nosed blasters.

I've been working on painting and decaling a Black Series to scale Luke Skywalker helmet into a Battle Medic mashup costume- Really glad to have a Cricut right now

I’m making some good traction on getting to kits that I’ve had sitting on storagefor a looooong time and haven’t been able to get to.

Over the weekend, I started on a Spinner craft from the Star Trek episode “The Tholian Web”. This is a very simple kit, with only a few parts. It’s around 12 inches long. I’ve gotten as far as the initial sanding, assembly, primer, and follow-up putty and sanding phase:

I'm steadily working on the pieces for a full Mandalorian costume! I do a lot of 3D CAD work and printing, so I'm looking to get some practice working on accuracy/realism through this project. I keep a pretty consistent project post up-do date so you should check it out if you're interested!

I've just about finished the Blaster - and I'd love to get some opinions/criticisms on it! Teaser render below ;)

Hey gang.

Long time lurker, ponderer, youtube watcher, "wonder if I could do this"er... First time maker.

Something I've wanted since I was a child, a DL-44. I've chosen the ANH blaster, and am building on a Umarex Legends C96. Obviously, given my base, I'm not going for accuracy lol. Scale is all I'm after!

I bought a 3D printed kit off of Etsy and just finished the initial sanding!

I was never much of a model builder, painter, or really anything creative or artistic, so, this should be fun! Thanks COVID19!

Dude! I was working on the same Star-Lord figure! I’m a little less patient than you obviously, I just sliced mine and printed the slice in one piece. Whenever I get the larger format resin printer I've been after, I plan to take the time to print the whole thing at a larger size. Can’t wait to see yours finished up!

Beautiful looking car! My father in law had a '39 Dodge panel van that he used for is liquor distributing business.. very fitting, unfortunately he sold it years ago. The best thing about working on cars (mechanically, I don't touch body work!) from this era is that it's so intuitive, relatively easy, and just plain ol' fun.

I've never been an expert auto mechanic, but I know my way around cars.

I ended up having to replace the radiator. The original one was too far gone to repair and the new one was was expensive.

The clutch was replaced and the brake's wheel cylinders were rebuilt last year, I had to pay someone to do that. In the past 5 months, I've replaced the running boards, replaced the spark plugs, rebuilt the carb, replaced both water pumps, along with new thermostats and upper/lower radiator hoses. I went ahead and changed the oil because I didn't know how many miles it had on it. The drain plug required bringing out Dad's 3/4" drive ratchet/socket set. The drain plug requires a 2" socket, no joke, lol. I tried to break it loose with channel locks, but it was too tight.
