Weta Original Ray Guns! High Res Pics!!

Re: Weta Original Ray Guns! High Res Pics!!

As I posted last year (see post #33), if these were under $100 I might buy at least one and customize it. The designs are way too cluttered for my tastes but the base components are neat and once tidied up would really look great to me.

Ive ordered the Manmelter. Yup, prob Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much money and grounds for a divorce, but there was something about them that appealed, plus the price does put them above the mass collection people, so certainly more 'unique'.

Yup, just placed my order for the FMOM...I had a hard deciding over the FMOM and the ManMelter.

Same here!
Did the exact same thing!
Ordered the FMOM, with trouble deciding between the two..:wacko
I think it was the chick in the skimpy nipply white outfit that was holding it that made me decide!:love

:lol:lol

Yeah, I had a very headache inducing hard time figuring out which one I wanted (Took me like two days to decide).

Here are the pros and cons I had to face -

FMOM PROS -

- The body shape is classic retro sci fi style (which is exactly what I want the gun to portray)
- It's the biggest one of them all!
- I love the little gadgets attached
- Love the handle
- I love that little dial at the top!

FMOM CONS -
- Although I love the little gadgets, I think there may be just a bit too many.
- Not enough moving parts (From the pics it looks like the trigger and the little lever on the side are the only ones that move)

- No interchangable glass tubes

------------------

MANMELTER PROS-
- The name...God I love that name!
- Quite a few moving parts (Trigger, dial on the side, and the big clunky lever on the back)
- It comes with two more (Red and Blue) interchangable glass tubes.
- NOT CONFIRMED - but it looks as though it comes with an extension for the barrel (Look in the display box, and you can see a rod with a row of discs attached to the end)

MANMELTER CONS -
- THe overall shape,...I think it's pretty cool, but yet somehow it looks too much like an old hand drill....Not sci-fi enough (Like the FMOM)
- The gun is the smallest of the three (Yeah, I know what you're thinking...SHUTTUP! )
- While the FMOM may have too many gadgets, I think this one has slightly not enough.

Anyhow, it's on pre-order, and if for some reason reason I change my mind I can always change the order....I guess I have until October 24th...Unless it sells out before then.

(Jeez, it would be totally kickass if you were able to actually take the gun apart and customize it by interchanging the parts)

That was my same problem with the manmelter! It looked too much like a hand drill, but still seemed to come with more gadgets. I think what looked like a barrel extension to you, might actually be one of those squeesy things to either oil it or fill it with some manmelting juice.
Besides the name "Manmelter", I was more sold on the shape of the FMOM Wave Disrupter. Plus, the FMOM issues a conical emission of inverted aether particles, capable of warping and collapsing the very fabric of space (and thereby disintegrating the target subject)! How could you beat that!:lol:lol:lol:thumbsup
And at 17 inches man! That gun is huge!
