WETA: District 9 Guns

Yeah, where's the oozing? :lol I dunno, factory weathering has the potential to look dumb so maybe a good thing they didn't go overboard?
 
I finished unpacking my Arc Generator, has anyone figured out the wall brackets yet? They don't look like they would be all that stable, I wish there was some kind of mounting instructions. Also I noticed there is no markings on the gun that say it was made by WETA (of course the movie props wouldn't have had that). No plaque either.
 
Ahhh, seeing these pics is killing me! I still haven't gotten my shipping notification!!! :eek
 
I cannot wait for the UK shipment - this is quite possibly the most excited i have been about waiting for a replica prop to arrive.

I think Weta should be well and truly thanked and commended for producing a piece like the arc gun, and in my mind, bringing it to us at an affordable cost.

My feelings exactly....thanks Weta for making a full scale prop from one of my favourite movies into a collectors piece!

I really wish I could think of a way to use the prawn hand to hold the gun, but can't think of a clever way to do it without it looking lame or just strange.
 
With the advent of a new 1:1 scale weapon being shown off at comic con, i wonder how long we will have to wait before the fluid canister makes an appearance - Probably not too long, but hopefully long enough so i can get my bank balance in the black!!!

I very much hope you're correct and it won't be too long before we see the cannister announced/revealed.
 
actually my guess is the fluid canister to be revealed as the next 1:1

EDIT - Wait a minute maybe not, its a 1:1 weapon (just re-read the post from Weta) - I guess the most logical choice would have to be the Assault Rifle as suggested by Rkpetersen

And if is a 1:1 scale exo suit - i'm in, but shipping is going to be a nightmare!!

Come, guys. Do you really expect them to make a 1:1 full exo suit available? The helmet, sure, but the whole suit?
 
They mention a sculpt and don't mention 1:1. I'm betting/hoping it's the Exo-Suit!!
