War machine 1st attempt

So they dragged me to the store doing all day.....i knew i was going to home depot evenwere short a few dollarsto get the no payment no interest for 12 months deal..so i came home with another gallon of resin and more fiberglass..some pvc for another stand..im going 1 1/2 this time the 1inch isn't doing it for war machine...ilove being short when we go to the home depot...

That's HILARIOUS. My girlfriend won't even go in there with me anymore.
 
Lol....i took mine to her favorite restaurant right before..just in case...we have a high credit card limit there..so she prefers to do credit instead of cash so i don't argue..lol..she supports my projects though...she was going to buy me amitter saw for my fish tank stands...my gf is awesome....
 
My hobby is our "dirty little secret" as long as I don't bore her with the details she's happy to brag about the results. I don't think my wife has ever gone into Home Depot with me.... Ever ever lol! Somehow I always get sucked into clothes shopping though! :D

i made a deal with my wife when we first got together it was this " i will go shopping with you but you HAVE to go shopping with me on the same day either before or afterwards no exceptions or arguments. worked like a dream, now shes a budding costumer ("budding being used VERY loosely"

i don't like when my girl goes with me to hardware store i feel rushed......lol...



I feel like I'm never going to finish..so much work.i find something New that i want to modify on every part.sometimes iget frustrated..i think I'm not that great with these things...i see people going foam and doing it in like a third of the time...maybe im just upset that i couldnt take my suit to premiere..lol...

Is it only me..or does anyone feel the same?
oh well ....just work work work.....should pay off at the end..

I hope I can make you feel better about all of this. First off, I remember a while ago, somebody saying that paper was the easy road. You have put as much time in as I have, with Pepakura, the hard way. You and I resin and paper, there is NO WAY that it's ever easier.
Your build has always been inspirational to me (WM) because not only do you make progress, you show pictures and let us know where you are.
I gave up on the premiere as I was finishing a powered IP cannon that I didn't get to show anyone because of the person I was building it for.
You did something to motivate me when you had wm and ip together, so you know. Anybody can run their mouth here, but you do the work and show it. I appreciate it, outside of everything else. And your work speaks for itself.

laellee..thanks for those words...very inspirational.....isee what you mean ..I try to post as i go because i want to people to see that i build it and that way it can help others if they want.
why weren't you able to show the ip gun? you can pm me..lol..

i will be cutting helmet today..
 
*sigh* Life happens Mi Amigo.. Stalling out here in Florida over and over as life takes it's toll on my good intentions! Work evals due so guess what....? No Work on War Machine.... I am dying here surrounded by parts and no finished build.
 
Whoa. I give you guys a TON of credit and respect that use pep files then resin-coat it and bust your humps to get it to a real solid, perfect stage and people never know it's all made from PAPER. I could never do anything like that, which is why I'm doing whatever I can to get myself a MaskedRider suit, but holy Moses you have some serious patience to do it this way. Good luck and keep it up!

Here's my helmet...i need to resin and fiberglass it... the forehead came out a little flat but i can fix it before i resin
 
So i been lazy these few days...but i will get back at it..what should i do next the legs or cannon?
