Wand Company Fallout (tv series) Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V

I received confirmation from Amazon Support, the charge is only an authorization and will drop off after 2 days, they don't charge the card until the item ships.

Well if you use paypal, authorizations take your money from your available balance.

I have to say; I loved the show, and this is exciting! It's up for preorder on Amazon? Maybe I should order it, you never know if there will be any available when it comes out. Some of the thing pre-sell out....

Wow, isn't this really early? My preorder on Amazon definitely hasn't shipped yet, I thought it wasn't going to be until next year!

Got mine yesterday. First thing I did was strip the weathering with some rubbing alcohol (it even said in the instructions that you can do this. Just don't use acetone). Then went over with some black and brown oil paints and loving the results!

Great product overall and love how it's not as bulky as the other pip boy variants out there

It looks sooooo good!! How did you apply the oils? I'd like to follow in your footsteps, but never achieved that kind of look with oil paints.

The oil paints I used are Winsor and Newton Ivory Black and Raw Umber. It's basically like dry brushing where you take a little but of paint and dap it all over the pip-boy until it blends in (going a bit heavier in the corners). Almost like covering the entire piece in a thin layer of oil paint. Takes time but worth it. One thing is that the paint takes FOREVER to dry completely so expect to have it sit on its stand for like 2 weeks or more. The upside to the slow dry time is that you can take your time blending the paint together.

What do you use for the dabbing and blending? A paint brush? A sponge?

Thanks!

Just recieved mine. Wow. Love this thing although it doesn’t fit my beefy firearms.
That's exactly what I was worried about. There's no way it's fitting mine either.

They shipped mine UPS Surepost, and it won't be here until next Friday. Not sure how that was "Quick Shipping".

Wow! They really put a radio into it?

I updated and personalized it, but dont see how I can get my character on it.

I am very happy with it.

The paint jobs on mine isnt that bad.
