Weta did a great job on their Narnia and Kong books. It's time for a third! But if they do it, they need to make sure it's of similar thickness...

I think it should be at least double thickness!! :eek

The Narnia book is one of the best Concept Art Books there is.

It is a prominent prop from the movie that isn't gonna break the bank for a lot of people. A happy medium.

point taken but for a prop community rabid for a wish list of props to be made, the top two are a book(which they will make anyway) and arguably a simple cheap plain jane tube. Here is everyones chance to get a great prop that wouldnt be made normally, why vote for simplest stuff on the list, go for it!

Well that's just the thing in'it? Why would I vote for something that I will not be able to afford and risk missing out on something I most likely will be able to afford?

...because they would prob end up making the cheap piece regardless of the vote. Its just voting for something that doesnt need support, id argue the other items do...

I would say if they had plans to produce the canister, then why would they want it included in the poll?

Well, they included the book, do you really think they wouldnt make that anyway? If the tube got an overwhelming NO I HATE THAT, then im betting they would cancel plans to make it ;)

Im sure this poll is just a guage at best it might sway them in one direction but not exactly sure what weight these results will have.

well it looks pretty clear that the fluid device is the winner. Get crackin!

Nice that Weta pings the fans on what they might be interested in.

The canister is just killing it here. I think it's a testament to how much folks want to own one if these things without selling a kidney.

BTW, Weta, some of us might appreciate a second edition of the Arc gun, because we didn't get one the first time. If you'd like to 'legitimize' the second edition and avoid offending owners of the first edition, I'd suggest the 2nd. ed. be done in a different paint scheme. Which I'm sure you've thought of already. I'm just thinking out loud.

Also, I'd like to know what sort of replicas your license does and doesn't cover. There seem to be a goodly amount of people around here who'd like a replica Wikus MNU ID :rolleyes Perhaps if it were bundled with a collection of MNU paperwork and patches, or cat food and South African tabloid magazines, the 'bundle' would have wide appeal and a reasonable ... margin. However, if you do not hold a license for cloth patches or printed paper materials, please tell us; in order to nip in the bud public speculation and expectations, before they become wildly irrational.

Warmest regards, and thanks, and absolutely no sarcasm at all intended, respectfully,

-Mike J.

Thanks Mike

If you'd like to put your name down on the waiting list for the Arc Generator, please e-mail info@wetaNZ.co.nz. We may have a few spare once they are ready for shipping

The license we have is quite broad, so we are open to all ideas

The cloth patches are now available on the website : http://www.wetanz.com/d9

From a business standpoint here are my suggestions:

Making of book: easy to outsource, do small run and reprint if demand is high. Think an E-Book that is down loadable through Itunes perhaps.

Exosuit in 1/12 scale: 1/6 scale would be a little to big and pricey.

Fluid canister: crowd favorite and small to please the budget conscious.

Then do whatever 1/1 scale gun is most popular.

Something for everybody:thumbsup

Thanks Lear60man

Yes, agreed. We want to try and make something for everyone. So you'll see some high end items and some low end items like the postcards.

Cheers
