Valley Forge Close-up panel build FINISHED :-)

Re: Valley Forge Close-up panel build

Finally back to this after the summer (and finishing up the Narcissus :) )
Small update, everything is now done for the build (except for inside the window).
Currently the base coat is to dark, but that'll be fix shortly.

2 hours masking, 60 seconds airbrushing, 5 minutes un-masking, rinse, repeat!

It's very difficult to know exactly what colour the original miniature is. It's certainly a light tan, not white or grey.
So I used Tamiya XF-55 Deck Tan mixed about 2:3 with flat white as a base. Then there's a bunch with a little red/pink, some blues, and the rest are just darker and darker shades of the tan.

Beautiful work. I can just picture Bruce Dern in his robe preparing some food. (well, actually, I don't usually picture Bruce Dern in is robe)

Re: Valley Forge Close-up panel build

Looks absolutely stunning !!!! Can't wait to see it complete !!!

I have drawn Doug Trumbull's attention to this build.
