Useful software for costume design

of course we are all aware of pepakura (of which I am a HUGE fan) but does anyone know of any other useful programs for costuming? I am interested in anything from 3D modeling to pepakura like DIY software. I am hoping people will post in the thread with a little about the program as well as their experience with it. I have been 3D modeling/sculpting for many years primarily with blender and zbrush. As far as 2d graphics I use photoshop and GIMP fairly fluently. I just came across another program similar to pep that I am tinkering with called "123D make" from autodesk. it is 100% free, imports .obj files, and has several different construction methods available, what caught my eye was the fact that it gives plans for making models from stacked slices. looking forward to hearing from you guys!!!

I would also like to add I am more than happy to assist (or attempt to assist) anyone with any projects they may have :) from modeling to whatever! my pepakura designer knowledge is fair and I have a full version so I would be more that happy to make .pdf's for people or be of whatever use I can :D
