Ok guys here's a huge update!
I've got the captain America coat pretty much finished. There are 2 things I missed one the belt on the front is split I need to add some leather there as for the second the buckles in the back need some holes added and they need to be tightened.
As for the work I did a ton of work on this thing I did all the leather work. The front is made of latex. I also dirtied the whole coat up. The pouches are all leather. I think the work speaks for its self but u be the judge.

Ok guys Update time!

Still waiting on finishing the mask, and I still have a little leather work to do. I have to add the belt and buckle in the front and add the belt in the back. Im also adding some grenades to the left side of the sholder belt.
As for the work Ive done, I finished the pants and dirtied them up, added leather straps. I also dirtied up the pop rivits. I reglued the shielding on the back of the coat and fixed the leather straps and buckles. Now the coat can be tightened around the waiste. I expanded the boot spats as they were small and added leather straps to go under the boots. I also dirtied up the boots and spats.
Were pretty close to being complet with this build. If i had to guess prolly within a week or so! We are going to do a proper photoshoot as soon as its complete!
Anyway here is where we are at so far!!! We have busted our A$$ on this costume! Here are some pics!

That looks great, but I have to address your comment on the helmet. I hate to break it to you, but rear seam helmets (referring to the placement of the seam in the non-magnetic strip that makes up the edge of the helmet rim) are very much post-WW2. The helmet you have is a post-Vietnam era M-1 pot, probably from the late 70s or early 80s, the final pattern before they went to the Kevlar helmet. The liner is from the same era (you can tell by the light OD green paint on the interior of it).Hey Guys,

I have already switched out the chin strap. As for the helmet I was under the impression it was a M1. I do know its on the dummy backwards.

We are defiently making a small run of the cowl. We will be offering it 3 different ways. Unfinished - (raw latex trimmed) Finished Brown - ( leather straps and goggles added) and Finished Blue- (painted blue with painted wings and A with leather straps and goggles added!
We are planning on having a couple finished this weekend.
I will post them in the trading area and pm those of you when we are ready.

Just a bit of further correction on P51's helmet comments: rear seam helmets were very much WWII-era in terms of manufacturing (production started in late '44), but few, if any, made it into the PTO or ETO before the end of the war due to the abundance of front seam steel and magnesium-rimmed helmets.
There are a few other differences between WWII/Korea and Vietnam-era or after, (mainly in liner materials and a slightly different shape) but ALL versions are considered to be an M1, so I wouldn't sweat it. Your end result is amazing.
