Holy bouncing balls, Batman! I cannot wait to get my costume started. As difficult as this whole process seems, it looks like something that everyone is enjoying (at least the end result)keep up the great work guys

Haha, I dunno, man, I find wearing the suit WAY more fun than building it.It can be challenging and daunting at times. But because of the build threads and overall knowledgeable community, it's totally possible. One thing I'll advice you on is to enjoy the building stage. It's the most fun, at least for me. Much more than wearing the suit. I've learned so much during this process.
Good luck!

Would your resizing method work with kenlandrum's free tasm2 pattern?

I might be wrong man, but in the image size, you've got the height and width in centimetres. I think you have to to change that to inches.Hi Raiden, thanks for the awesome tutorial and detailed explanation... im just having a problem with the measuring, Im also 5'3 or 5'4, i did what you explained here but im not very confident i did it right.
could you confirm based on this picture ?

Hey mate, quick question... I remember you saying you got your print with an extra mask. Did you have to pay FOD extra because of this? After I submitted my order I got an invoice for another $37.50 for the extra Lycra.
Just thought I'd ask as I haven't heard of this in any threads

This is standard, yes. You always have to pay for the yardarge of fabric being used--the normal file uses less yardage than the file with the extra mask.

The pattern I got had the extra mask at the bottom. When I measured it, it fit on 3-yards of Lycra. So I didn't have to pay for anything else other than that. Basically, FOD charges per yard of fabric, not per print. Although they have this offer for a set price to print your hero-suit pattern. But even that goes by yard. Your print probably was longer than the yardage you paid for. I'm uncertain though. You can always call them and ask. They're very friendly and willing to answer your questions.
Thanks for clarifying, Lunaman.
Cheers Luna! That makes sense. Looking at my file again there is obviously gonna be extra material needed for the mask. Rookie mistake again ha.
Thanks for the reply Raiden. Yeah FOD have been very helpful, and after looking at the file again it seems they're right. I would think the reason you only needed 3 yards and I'm needing 4 is due to our height. I think I saw you were 5'3 and I'm 6'0.
Thanks again for the help guys [emoji16]

Yep. I saved some cash just by being short. Haha. Good luck on your build.
Hey man your thread helped me a lot. I've wanted to make a Spidey suit for a long time and was unsure about the measurements since I'm the same height as you. Is there anything you would modify in the file if you had to make another one now you know how it fits?
you free handing or using a applicator tip?
where i see you are at... if you are not happy with it ... is it worth spending 300$ on getting it sewn???
On another note it will be unique since no one else will do it your way...
