Uhh, Honey...i used your [insert object]

not sure if this fits, but when i was younger i got inspired to make a set of nunchucks watching ninja turtles, so i went outside and cut up my moms broom and then used a flimsy chain that was holding one of her plants up and some nails outta the wall that were holding pictures. i then took the rubber sleeve that went around the piping of the hot water heater to use around the wood so it wouldnt hurt..

Unable to pressure cast but still occasionally needing a lil part here or there to be replicated- the next best thing is something to VIBRATE the bubbles out of a mold before setup.

Nuff said?:rolleyes

OMG that is an awesome idea <LOL> I am going to start doing that.

I've "procured" a pair of 12 quart stainless steel pots to mix latex and liquid plastic. Lets hope we don't have a big party anytime soon. Or, ever again...

On a plus side, I always get stacks and stacks of new tupperware for christmas.

i'm relatively new to prop making, but i used to do a lot of sculpture and model making. The key is not getting caught. I ruined my wife's hair dryer and GHD straighteners trying to see if they were suitable for bending certain plastics through heat. The short answer is yes they are highly effective but good for one use only.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I was painting the new GOW3 logo on my Jeep and my wife asks, "Where is the sponge I use for touching up the countertop?"
"Did you check under the sink? Maybe you threw it away..."
What are the odds?

I was at a party many years ago and while using the bathroom I noticed a Gilette lady shaver. The lovely female host kindly allowed me to have it for conversion into a Jedi comlink since she was a Star Wars fan.

...and what did the male host say, when you thanked his wife/gf for receiving her used ladyshaver as a gift :lol ?
