Quick update on my disc upgrade. I just got a pic from my friends shop. The disc is very smooth and has a bit of a glossy look. Almost like polished black steel. Its not what I intended, but I love it! I think it will look soooo slick reassembled. Ill rebuild it and post pics tonight! Almost ready!!

I'm trying to make my own disc mount/holder, but I'm curious.....how did you actually affix the disc holder to your jacket? I think I read in the thread somewhere that you used magnets on the back of the holder and inside the jacket. How did you secure the magnets inside your jacket? Did you sew them in, tape them in, etc? Just curious.

The jacket looks awesome! It's also cool that you were able to do the shoes. I haven't seen that before with a Young Flynn costume.

Also, thanks for posting about the back mount! I've been wondering what I can use for Rinzler's. So, to hear that something as cheap and simple as a Solo bowl will work, motivates me a lot. Thanks so much!

The shoes were an awesome touch, I must have seen the movie half a dozen times and I've never once noticed the shoes.

Also, odd thing I noticed: in the pic of the director, there is a third EL strip inside the collar but in the screenshots, the collar light is gone.

Looking at the picture of the director, it seems like the shoulder and back logos were pasted over with a textured material/tape. Does some one have an idea what would be a good or accurate material to get?

Hi there, I took a quick look to see if there were other similar more up to date threads on this same costume and came up blank. Has anyone had any recent luck finding a suitable substitute for the jacket? Alpinestars doesn't seem to be making theirs anymore. Looking around, it seems like many motorcycle jackets are heavily branded with logos...

Hey, anyone know the exact color of the Flynn jacket EL wire lighting?
I mean I see BLUE in the pictures and the games(or so it LOOKS) and the MOVIE, it "appears" to be white (and should....user after all) but cause of the blurry effect of the "flash back" it ALMOST appears blueish white. SO I'd like to know for SURE what color it is, so I will know what color is it really. SneakyDerezzler used BLUE I beleive...as in the photos you can see it all blue but his disk which is a bright WHITE. ^^
