Tron Legacy: Flynn Lives

Thanks, but I should point out that's the same, Confusion. The link you've posted leads to the same page. But thanks. :D

correct. I wanted to show what is in the QR code on the badge. So, where do you think the next event will be?

I tell you one thing that would surprise me as to "what's next." Security at Encom somehow notices a lot of new "Group 7 Clearance" badges being issued, temporarily suspends all Group 7 access, and we end up having to get Group 6 access to gain access to another section (like how what happened with Flynn in the first film).

Guys, you're not going to believe this! I just got back from class, dropped of my Census form in the outgoing mail box and decided to check my mail. And look at what I found! I was in such a hurry to share the news, I didn't have time to set up my normal digital camera, so I used the camera built into my MacBook.

I found this baby in the mail. The return address looks like a printed out rubber stamp design that simply reads: "Flynn Lives, P.O. Box 236, San Diego, CA, 92101." The package itself is a Eco>Lite #000 by Polyair Packaging, Inc. I opened it up and I found this.

The Encom ID badge in all its glory. It had the first initial of my first name and my last name completely, Employee ID #, a holographic Encom logo sticker (as the reflective Encom name at the top), a red bar above the QR Code (to the right of my photo) reads "Authorized Use Only" and a red bar at the bottom that reads "Group 7 Clearance".

On the back, it reads as follows: "This badge is intended exclusively for Encom Employees with Group 7 Security Clearance. If the photo on the front differs in appearance from the person carrying it, please report the offending party to your supervisor at once." It has a shiney Encom logo, underneath reading in red: "Encom is serious about security." and a copyright to Encom underneath that. Above and below are red bars, inside the top on reads "For Authorized Use Only", the one on the bottom reads, "Group 7 Clearance."

The badge also comes with its own lanyard with the Encom name and logo repeated.

I checked inside the package and found the following piece of paper.

Dear "Encom employee"

I've been cranking out these badges in my workroom (behind Arcade Aid). Well, you don't know the half of it.

I've also been working my magic on the Encom system so that you can access it using the unique ID number on your badge. Your password is the same one you used over at FlynnLives.com - please note: only this password/ID combination will work (as I said - workin' my magic, but that's the furthest my magic can go).

This is the hardest I've worked since the first time I beat Astro-Gunner back in '87 (I was on that machine for three days straight - still have the calluses to prove it). Time to take a break and... play some Astro-Gunner.

--Zack

At the bottom it just reads "ARCADE AID."

OHHH!! AAAWWW!!!! :confused:eek I#m soo green with envy! :thumbsup
International takes longer, I guess :cry

Confusion - Well, I'm not much for the ARG, but I wouldn't mind having the badge (honestly, I'm a little hesitant about giving my info to "Flynn Lives", as they say they share information with their affiliates, but they don't list who their affiliates are).

I'll be waiting for YenChih to get his to see if giving them my address is truly worth it.

Aren't you glad you decided to pulled the trigger and get the badge?

Just got mine about 15 minutes ago. Checked out the site, kinda cool. Was hoping to find an extra link or something in the pages source code, but no such luck.

Like the bit about the excessive use of emoticons in company mail :)

After I finished this up, I used my alternate e-mail addys to allow my sons to sign up and complete it. Dave and Mike received theirs today, but I did not.
Sooo... Went in with another alternate e-mail address today and just to be safe, did the registration and tag again today. :)

They did a great job with them, looking forward to seeing where this goes to next.

So does anyone think Disney will create a TRON inspired attraction for one of thier theme parks? Could you imaging a 3D motion simulator ride?!
The trailers for this movie look sick! But we've been fooled by trailers before....remember Phantom Menace?

Look for additional information. I suspect the there will be additional e-mails, and content about the "event" soon.

I doubt he may show up. I mean, the "Tron 2.0" game had Bruce Boxleitner doing the voice of Alan Bradley (and the Bradley character himself), but Tron is nowhere to be seen (and is only mentioned through e-mails in the game), which is ironic because the game is called "Tron 2.0" yet there is no Tron program present (except for the incomplete Tron Legacy security program that you are to acquire from the old Encom server before it crashes, which you end up compiling into Ma3a).

Granted, the "Tron 2.0" game is no considered canon to the upcoming film by the director of the film, but Steven Lisberger considers it as "Tron" canon (as he signed off on it as the creative consultant).

All right, this may be old news, but Tron is in the movie....at least I'm pretty confident he is. As a matter of fact, I think Tron is in the most recent trailer, right under our collective noses!

Seriously, the program dual wielding the discs at the end of the trailer, right before the lightcycle sequence...that is TRON! How do I know? Freeze the trailer at 1:46ish (right before it fades to black) and look at the symbols on his chest (three squares across, one square underneath). The only program that had that sequence of symbols on his chest was Tron.

Take a look and tell me what you guys think. Am I crazy? This is pure speculation on my part, but then again....
