Torso version 1.33

seriously the level of working coming out of the lair is.................... well when i find the words

this is a piece of art! you should be proud brother

Thanks everyone for the coments! I ran into another snag, had to order even more clay. Should be here anyday now so i can continue to get this beast done. I plan to dull down some of the texture, and i have my orange in hand to make texture stamps. I will have more pictures soon!

how soft is your clay? texture stamps are useless to me with the NSP chavant. i guess i could heat gun it then stamp, havent tried that yet.

Its medium, and as cold as it is out here its rock solid. I plan to warm it up with a torch, plus the torch melts and smooths the clay in the process. Havent used a texture stamp in a wile, so its gonna be trial and error with the torch.... lol

I have some constructive criticism. Take the skin texture and make it Imperfect. By that I mean the texture looks to uniform, where are the scars, wrinkles. Everything needs to be random but uniform at the same time.
Overall this thing is killer! Keep at it.

Cant wait till this is painted!!

its not a lizarrd, but its also a case of what Corey is looking for

either way , im looking forward to seeing more

I realy appreciate the help, i been thinking about that-

Lol i missed all this, you know im not entierly sure what im going for. Meaning i want to be accurate to my favorite P1, wile making subtle changes to make it fit my body. I like the fleshy/scaley combo, so i plan to carve it up a little and make it more subtle. I think its a little to much, but my only refrences i have found of the back are fuzzy and low rez. So the question then becomes how reptilian is the predator? Is that like sun beaten leather on the back, in wich case i would definatly slash it up alot more and make it less regular, or go more scaley like a reptile? I dunno, does anyone have any feed back on that? Does anyone have any reference pictures of the back other than the one i showed? Like i know the predator had a slight muffin top in the movie (love handles) but that wasent in the origional sculpture, i think they belonged to kevin peter hall underneath, so do you sculpt that in or leave that out? Lol these are the things i have to think about before i go to sleep each night.... ;)

now i feel i have to clarify...
i know preds are not lizards but using earth morphology- in nature you do see a lot of uniformity and pattern. so while scales are random there is some pattern to them.
it was just an example....
staying on topic. hey corey your skin is cool it looks like a lizard just like Lee.

Lol very nice daman, i think the discussion of the back texture on the predator could lead to some of the greatest breakthroughs in chaos theory. History is being made! lol

I finaly got some more clay in so i have been refining and adding the belt in. I found some nice refrence pictures of the back of the arm so i have been redoing the texture and get this thing finished. I still have ALOT of work but its getting there slowly.
