Top Shot, Season 3

Yep, it went pretty much how we expected. Though, the show seemed to have left a whole lot out dealing with what led up to Jake nailing up his own target.

Not really, Jake blames everybody/everything but himself. He's a Football coach? I'd fire him based on what he did on the show. Pick on the weakest, and Quit if you are challenged, yeah I'd want my kids being taught that. When he was in Mike's face, if I were Mike, I would have said "You're really cute when you're angry sweetiepie" and made kissyfaces at him. I think that pretty much would have done it.

I think if Mike did that, Jake would of probably done more than just punch him. He would probably pummel him, and kick him in the nards a few dozen times. Just because he is Jake.

^Watching him dragged off in cuffs would have been satisfying and an assault charge would really ruin his shooting days as it would probably cost him the right to own a gun. Not to mention his ex seal team woulda laughed even harder at him. Knowing him he probably got hostile with the host and crew too.

Within the first 5 minutes of last nights episode, Jake laughed at the notion of fair play. I just can't imagine he's a well liked or respected football coach. He posted on his FB and twitter that "They are all lying" and "You know it's a TV show and not real right?". Again, I feel sorry for the kids who have to deal with him. Can't be easy.

Good for Mike though. I was glad to see him given another chance. Poetic Justice.

That football team must be desperate or he's a totally different person when the cameras are off. Even with creative editing that they like to use there is no hiding being an arrogant jerk. I do have to say I was impressed with him using that angle gun (stupid looking thing that it is) when even he'd never used one. I was really impressed by those guys using the sniper rifles to hit moving targets.

So what does that have to do with him giving up and leaving the show. The guy is really a piece of work. Not some one I would want to coach my kids or be a team member of any special ops team.

I wonder how he got past the psych eval for the Seals cause he isn't a team player unless being on the team made him bitter which i doubt. The show's going to be more enjoyable without him for the rest of the season that's for sure.

I tried to watch this show after reading part of the thread, I liked the idea of a show pitting competetive shooters in contests, I was thinking something like carnival games for really top notch marksmen, that'd be cool.

Wow reality TV is lame. I'd love to watch that show with all the interpersonal nonsense cut out of it. just shooting competitions. Add emo adults acting like babies and I just can't hang.

as cool as Phil was, I'm glad Mike is back, if for no other reason to make jake blow a gasket once he got home and see what happened.

Either way I'm hoping for Gary and Dustin as final 2 shooters

^I really bet he does, his ego seems like it would demand that. He strikes me as becoming more and more unhinged as he stresses out.

Didn't they say at the beginning that Jake was a Navy SEAL? I'm 100% sure that if that's what he told the producers, that he was a lying sack of s***. No SEAL would be that dishonorable and unsportsmanlike. No SEAL would be that little of a team player.

Actually it's been verified that he was a seal for 3 years but quit. There a link to some info about it earlier in the thread.

Yup, I doubted it as well, so I went hunting. My google-fu is strong. ;)

I bet his Seal team had a party the day he quit. Hopefully things improve now that the drama is over. i wonder if this is like Survivor and when they get the boot they go to a nice hotel to stay until things are over.

Well they have to be relatively close by that Mike could be brought back a couple of days after being eliminated. Also with the singles competition people coming back for the finale last season to see who won.

Wow, that was quite an ending last night.

When Dustin started going 12 for 12 I figured for sure he had them all. Mike had a big fat goose-egg, I was shocked to say the least. But, he more than made up for it in the elimination challange. In fact, I felt bad for the other guy(Alex?), being the only reason they even picked him for elimination, was because he never was in one all season.

Next weeks finale should be good. It really looks like it is anyones game. Dustin and Mike still get my vote. While I would love to see Mike win, as a big slap in the face for Jake, I think I would like to see Dustin win.
