I don't know what the law says about it in the States, but here in the Netherlands (if I'm not mistaken, the rest of Europe as well) it's illegal to draw on GOVERNMENT PROPERTY!!!!!

The £1 note was withdrawn from UK currency in 1984 !!

Good real world prop though.

JFYI, it is also an offence to deface any UK currency too...., but only if you get caught...

Fun Fact: Defacement of currency is illegal only if you render it unfit for circulation. So, you can do this legally, and then some!

One part of Great Britain kept it's £1 notes!

Whenever I go to the UK mainland I find I start walking crooked as I get a pocket full of £1 coins.

However our money is probably even gayer than the gay $1 as we have pretty flowers as a background.
