Top Shot, Season 3

He really did seem like he was a kid in a candy store lol. Every challenge he was enthusiastic about even if he didn't do well. Anyone want to bet that Jake is probably being avoided by his football team, neighbors, and if he has a family his kids' friends aren't allowed around him after this? lol

I thought the best quote of the season, and the thing that truly showed Dustin's character was in the final 4 when he was in the bottom bracket and had to shoot out for the spot for #3 and as they approached the targets, his comment was something along the lines of "We get to do this again!!!" It really solidified in my mind that his focus was more on fun and sportsmanship than on winning. I would have been sweating bullets to be in the bottom 2, but Dustin just saw it as another opportunity to play an additional round of the game that the winners didn't get to enjoy. There is a lot to be taken from that kind of attitude.

I also thought the "thumbs up" to his wife during the final shoot out was fantastic.

According to the credits, Jakes wife is pregnant with a girl, I think their first child. I don't think I wanna know if he acts the same way within his household.

Judging that he saw how far behind Mike was, it was a good ol "I got this" thumbs up. He was definately there for more than just to win.

On top of Dustin having a fantastic attitude for the competition and being a remarkable shot (especially in light of his nonexistent shooting resume) his winning also was a nice retort to the attitude from last season that any non-military is inferior. All the crap Jay got for being a golf instructor, and the latest Top Shot is a Christian Camp Counselor. Priceless.

I'm watching all the episodes again, and knowing the final outcome it's even funnier now after Dustin trounced Sara in the second episode's elimination how Blue Team was almost tripping over themselves saying what a good shooter he was and he didn't deserve to be in an elimination.

Just wow at the lengths Jake went to to win a reality show for $100,000 and then just drop out over hurt feelings? He pulled out so many stops being unsportsmanlike for nothing, just to drop out because of his fragile ego? I'm trying to come up with a word besides pathetic, but I'm having trouble.

The crap from the other contestants, or the people watching the show. The contestants did that because they had a whole military pact thing. The rest did that because he was acting a lil bossy, like Jake, but not as severe. They must have seen what happened last season and felt to not have as many military members.

I meant the other contestants with their "non-military sucks" attitude. I didn't care for Jay's bossiness either, but he was shooting better than many of the professionals so their snobbery towards him was uncalled for imo.

Dustin was just plain awesome, and the other guys saw it, which is why they gave him credit for being a self taught shooter.

Best season for sure. I must admit, I was rooting for Jake for a while as I felt he had the skill to back up his arrogance but his last hissy fit, I pretty much lost all respect for him. Couldn't stand up and allow for the possibility of being beat since he knew he could be. Poor sportsmanship for sure. Very childish- I don't get my way so I am taking my toys and going home.

So please with this final 4, would have been happy with any of them winning. I told Art pretty early on in the season that Dustin was one to watch out for, that he could win the entire thing. Wow, he just impressed the heck out of me. His shinning moment I felt was the ferris wheel when he hit 12 in a row- incredible. He was really out there just having fun. Good guys really do finish first!
