Tom Clancy's The Division (original character build)

It is looking good, cant wait to see more pictures of your build including the custom CBRN suit.

Thanks!
Not sure if I'll go for the CBRN outfit, or a more "normal" look, and even if I do, it will take some time as I'm quite busy in the next few months with work/holidays :(

Hey Agents!

Back when I started my costume with another cosplayer, didn't really expect it to go anywhere so the comms module we had modelled was a quick job and nowhere near accurate. After the release of the game earlier this month (as well as some helpful encouragement from my partner) I've decided to give my SHD costume another go!

I also took the liberty of hunting through a few websites to see if there were any other models aside from the comms module. Found two that might be of some assistance! I'm also looking into having some of the backpack accessories as well as the rappel device modeled (no word yet however, can't make any promises). Additionally, if anybody has any files for the watch, or know where to get the 'Sleeper Edition' watch for cheap, please let me know :)

I'll be making files for the watch soon. I've been busy with a few other projects, including a new CNC plasma cutter, and just haven't had time to model the watch yet. I plan to do the pulse device and others for the backpack eventually too. (My target is Denver ComicCon, in June.)

Here's my shoulder beacon ( or comms device, or whatever ), too: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1411233

Do keep us updated! I'd rather print the watch than buy an overpriced (and possibly fake-out) watch from eBay. I'd love to see your work on those!

I don't suppose there's a Facebook group set-up somewhere is there? It'd be cool to have an organised group where we can all communicate and post progress pics :)

Welcome back, buddy! :D

I was just telling the guys I met up with during the con about the Turret and was going to post the link; you beat me to it. ;)

And I agree about the Facebook group. I absolutely don't mind people continuing posting here (I rather enjoy it, actually), but it would make sense to have a community page as well.

Good to be back! :p

I'll start one up then! I also re-added you a few hours ago (I must have deleted you during one of my many friend culls). I'll invite you to the group to get it going!

EDIT:
Group link is here!

These aren't motorized, but they may give you some design ideas...

Hey guys! I've loved flipping through this thread, and I'm currently working on my own agent costume that I'll post pictures of as I go. Are any of you guys planning on going to Dragoncon?

There is some outstanding work going on here. I'm going to start one of these soon. I have a buddy printing the comm unit which i intend to modify with the bells and whistles. I just jumped on the FB group as well.

Alright so I'm redoing I'm Beanie, I really like the eagle logo but I'm also in love with the hazmat suit beanie, do you think it would be too much if I bought this beanie and sewed this patch on there, or do you all think it would look fine? adder_layers_0008s_0000_img_7402.png$(KGrHqYOKiIE6YNvJ3UeBOwo-1S1KQ--60_1.JPG

Just requested to join the group.

Your requests were accepted! Welcome to the SHD :)

Depends on where you sew the patch onto! And how big the patch is. If it's small enough, you could always put it over the one in the image you provided!

The patch is 3×3 inches, I really like the eagle on the beanie, and I don't really wanna cover it, I could either wear the beanie with the eagle, by another beanie and put the patch on, or do a mix of both on the beanie, I just wanna know if you all think it would be too cluttered, I would put it kinda on the right side of the beanie while the eagle is in the front

Thanks for this! Might sound a bit stupid, but I was under the impression that the rappel device/ascender wasn't an actual real-life device :p

Well, the electronic motorized ones aren't real far as I know, but the regular mechanical ones have been used by climbers for years. :)

At the very least, it would be a good thing to use as a basis for a 3D model of the in-game version.

Hello Agents.

I will be attending an event in September and I will be going as an agent and I have taken lots of inspirations from all of you're designs and notes but my friend will be attending the event as a Cleaner and he is currently trying to get some idea's about the creation of a AK47 with a makeshift Flamethrower combo like seen in the game, I will provide some images of the gun and some in-game images.

He has started to texture and weather the stock.

Well, the Cleaner Ak seems to have a 2L bottle of fuel taped to the side of the mag/magazine well, with some hose-like tubing connecting this to something that is either a valve/gauge, connected to bent copper pipe with a lighter/form of flame attached to it or an extended blowtorch, linked to the fuel pipe. That should be pretty easy to source/attach (you can't go wrong with tape!), just make sure it doesn't work, or we might have to alert some local agents about a cleaner threat XD. Try some burlap wrap around the stock or tape wrapped on the grip, gives it an apoc look and also should improve comfort when holding it !

I was also wondering for the watch, if a switch like this: http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/3v.html may be able to be incorporated into the watch to allow the user to turn the power from the cell off/on, therefore saving energy and also keeping the internal components housed in the watch without needing to take them out. I going to head to my local electronics store tomorrow to see if I can pick up anything similar, and if I can get a solution going for a way to include a switch.
