Sorry this armor is not for sale.

We have earlier been in dialog with Paramount and have a good relations with them. Paramount and UIP wanted to use our creation in the promotion of Ironman 2 movie. We provided ideas of use of the armor allongside with options of using the suit. Paramount and UIP then contacted Marvel to pressent the idea. We even presented them with the idea of a Lifesize Hulkbuster or Iron Mongor.

Our proposal was if Marvel aproved for us to make a Limited amount of statues to be used in Scandinavia and Europe Preimieres. The statue would be an Heroic phose with Ironman looking a bit upwards in the air with the american or the nations flag in his hand.. We also proposed 3 armor with motion sensor were the faceplate would open and reaveal Tony Starks head inside and then a prase from Tony would play. Lights in eyes and chest would light up once the faceplate closed.
These statues should then be moved to the biggest theaters and displayed in areas to the public.

Sadly Marvel did not give the approval for its use for this idea.
Paramount and UIP thought this would be a great promotional gig that whould attract allot of positive attention to the movie and the carracter based on the quality of the sculpt. Also having live Ironman at selected theaters. We belived this would be possible in lights of allot of promotional props are custom made for premiers and such. Also theaters had expressed that they were not satisfied with the Oxmox licened statue for display use.


We also got a promotional request from Dubai to use our armor for a Pre-showing of the Movie. Even how much I would love to personally attend the show as Tony Stark and Ironman in armor this can not be done unless its given the aproval of Marvel since it is in a Comercial setting.


Our plan is to se if we can get in direct contact with the creative department to se if / how the possiblity for creative relations.
We respects Marvels wish in this case and will not offer sales of this suit.


I will use my own armor for personal use only at conventions and Superhero fanbased Charity events. No comercial use.

This is aperently a Pre-viewing to the VIP of Dubai and i belive its is Paramount / Marvel and the event holder doing this together. This is why i said to the person in charge of the event that i would love to attend, but it needed to be aproved by Marvel for me to attend. Without any aproval i will not personally do it.

I recived the feedback from Paramount on Marvels stand so I personally will not cross any line to risk my good relationship with Paramount and i want to respect Marvels wishes.

I dont belive this will be a problem if you do this as a private person free of charge to entertain the fans....
But if the Cinema or a company hires you to do it, they would need aproval i think, otherwise they will run the risk them self.

I cant speak on behalf of other people on what do do or not.
But i want to keep our good relationship with the studios for future promotional work. I belive it is a bit different for us, since we also made the armor. I Just hope I will be able to come in dialog with Marvel for a private preformance to the Movie premiere or a show with my own personal suit of armor.

When you have an awesome product that people want, and it takes away from the parent company - i.e - TMP's Iron Man suit - and the parent company can't make money - they will start throwing nasty letters and court orders at you if you're charging for event.

I have a friend who has a screen-used Batman suit here in the States and was charging, and getting, $300.00 p/hour to show up for promotional event, and he was served in court by Warner Bros/DC comics for unlawful copyright infringement with intent to defraud a public symbol - No joke. Why? he was charging money for the event. They didn't care that the suit was screen used - hell, the lawyers prob. didn't know it was to begin with.

I am battling with Hasbro right now because of my Optimus Prime sculpt. I want to bring it to Bot Con when it's finished, and they're worried it's going to take away from the Prime that Sideshow is doing and wont be releasing until middle of 2011.

Now with TMPs suit, the client can't pay HIM per say if it's to use the suit for any kind of promotional event IF it's a licensed event w/o approval from Marvel. Paramount and Co. are just the film distributors, Marvel would have to give an "OK" to the event and TMP the right to go and suit up if there are funds being exchanged. Now, if there are no funds being exchanged, TMP can just show up as it were, not charge a dime, and everything will be cool.

As long as he isn't making money to be there, or charging money for pictures, there's nothing he is doing that would put him in the wrong, technically. But he can tell you just as I or anyone else here who deals with these big-gun industry giants, there is so much political red tape it's crazy.

Yea, they're even dumping their Saban/Power Rangers franchise to go after DC and see if they can't get the rights from Warner Bros...

From what I've heard behind the scenes, and I wouldn't hold it to total truth, but Universal is apparently hurting right now, and Disney is going to make a bid, what with MGM to buy out, but keep the name...

Could be interesting...

Well Disney is sure a powerfull and exiting company.

I think it is healthy with competition... As far as creative artistic expression and in some cases political standpoints... :cool Just hope that Disney dont end up owning the City like OCP owns every company... :lol

But its is intresting tought if they get hold of DC as well... The two universes bond and unite... But then it will be a thug war in between and probably favoring carracters.

I just hope i wont se a Mickey Mouse as the Mikey Stark and IronMouse

I`m sad cause I wanted to pick one up.

I said in an very old thread regarding the design of a promotional website you were making for your ironman suit (i believe to offer the suit sale)

I think I said something along the lines of the attention for an unlicensed replica cant all be good. You run a risk of shutdown.

You seem to be taking what is effectively a Marvel C&D very well.

It is a conundrum for all makers; how much should they promote their unlicensed wares... you were the heaviest promoter I have seen in this area... it was/is a great product.

To be honest I was suprised you hadnt been shut down before - I was just hoping a shutdown would come after I got round to buying one.

Thank you for your support! We would also loved to see the sculpt beeing used in a promotional setting.

We hope to work close with Marvel and other comercial vendors on other potential project.

Sometimes door shut, but others will open.

If there are any comercial vendors, Game companies, or Studios watching we would be honored to do your next creative promotional project. :thumbsup

It is very hard to get aproved for those big company, That happens to me with my Snake eyes costume here in Puerto Rico. So just go to the premiere with the suit and have fun.

sadly sales have been shut down so I think development must have too?

perhaps not - perhaps this lives on as a one off? To think the money and time invested in this up to this point.

I fully understand. Sorry, I did not mean to ask a price or anything of that nature, simply curious is all. Firemedic did very well, i agree. And i will honor such a fine work. I am actually a chef at a local restaurant, so it is a little humorous you would use that example, although you are quite right.

I was not asking a price of any kind or to buy this setup. I just assumed in the spirit of sharing as is common place here that the setup and parts or even detailed pics would be shared. Especially since the future sails will not be offered.
