Whoa, I really like that inside pic at the store...makes your mask look really mean. I see your shoulder bells are different than mine. Did you cut on em, or is that how they came?
That one outside with Batman...did your stomach plate come undone? It looks like it's poking out or sumthin LOL. That plate was the biggest challenge for me I think....err, maybe the butt plate.
Do you really wanna see me in my black skivies? :lol
Seriously, I know what you're talking bout.
Here's my list of steps,a nd remember, I do use a helper for suit parts;
Fantastic photos you guys have taken. Its nice to se the improvements. How did the legs work with my advice Collin?
I advice both of you to consider boots with higer sole but more importantly heal raisers. It will give you longer legs.
For information , we made brand new legs, and a new helmet again...
I dont think one armor is identical. All got some changes.
But these brand new parts are nice.
Ohhh yeah, forgot to mention my paint I bought. The yellow is a really good match...almost identical for me. Brushing it on makes it look darker, but that seems to be due to the metal flake in it. My problem with the paint is that it is too shiney. My suit doesn't have a gloss to it at all really..maybe a little, but you know what I mean.
If I spray this paint...I'm gonna have to experiment. I would probably have to thin it more than usual and spray it dry (meaning I'll add more air, creating more overspray).
BUT.
What "I" need to learn, see, do, whatever...is how to do that battle damage. I've been told just a brush and silver paint...quick swipes and walla. But yeah, I just don't get it. is the brush beat all to hell, cut up, or what? The strokes on my suit...I just cannot imagine what the process looked like when he did it. is it a 4" brush, a 2" brush, a modeler's tiny brush? Is it a particular kind of brush? Is it a brush at all? Was it crumpled newspaper drug thru paint? I dunno....someone please share the technique with me.
The fiberglass shins whould not be suitible for a suit towards the glassfiber legs, they will clank, restrict your movements as well as it will most likly get damaged. If we can these will also be made in ABS so they flex and give in.
