Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

Aye, I spotted him about a week ago when I found those posters at WM. :lol

There is a clip of the tea party scene on Facebook I saw this morning. :D

Really find this tread intresting. Its a detaild suit with allot of variouse fabric and special work. Its huge costume undertaking ;D:thumbsup Keep it up! :love

Baby Alice!!:lol

Also the bloody pinstripping on the back of the vest!!!! Once again the stripes on the back of the vest come back to bite us yet again on another JD character portrayal!!!! (Captain Sparrow's vest has stripes as well!)

Also 2.0....there is nothing :love:love:love:loveHOTTER:love:love:love:love than a blonde in full armor!!! MEEEEEE-YOW!:love Shiny!!

Also 3.0 - Notice how the bottom of the pant legs stay flared out? Wire! Oh yeah!!!!

Also 4.0 - Mia is very tall!!!!

Is it just me or is Danny Elfman starting to look alot like David Lettermen???

Ahhhhhhhhh! Why did Mia chop off all her hair (in real life folks not in the movie!)

Weird!!! Even the chair is green screen!:lol

Not in every scene... :D

HAHAHHAH This thread has gone mad again! I like it!

Well...ALICE is tall...she goes from 6 inches to 20 ft!!! Mia is only 5'4 which is the same height as me! Whoopie!!! :D Depp is pretty short at only 5'9. And the back of his vest isn't pinstriping...it's striped striped...like ... thick stripes. Can't really tell the colour(s) yet but that's an adjustment that will have to wait for the future...I'm not going to do it and then do it wrong and need to adjust it again!!! Too many times have I done that! Too long has this costume been under reconstruction!!

Here's a shot of the back ( and his VERY high waisted pants o_O ):

I definitely feel content with our brown pinstripe pants after seeing this shot. :) But ours are almost too dark in comparison to that. Ah well...I'm pretty sure no one is going to yell at Travis for his pants being a couple shades too dark. o_O

I got my buttons today! Woo hoo! Vest is nearing completion. I was going to pick up some stuff to make some new gloves and a flower for my Alice dress but my Fabricland didn't have either of the materials I need and the lovely horrible blizzard here in the Niagara region has prevented me from venturing to the Falls location to get what I need. Bah.

Who will be the first to transcribe and memorize that line...

Only two or three of the hat names are eluding me. Almost there.

Well then, Shall it be a bonnet or a boater? Or something for the boudoir? Cloche? Dunce hat? Death Cap? Coiffe? ________? Babush? Puggaree? Yarmulke? Cockle hat? Porkpie? Tam o'shanter? Billycock? Bicorne? Tricorne? Bandeau? Bongrace? Fan-tail? Night cap? _________, Fez?

Well then, Shall it be a bonnet or a boater? Or something for the boudoir? Cloche? Dunce hat? Death Cap? Coiffe? Snood? Babush? Puggaree? Yarmulke? Cockle hat? Porkpie? Tam o'shanter? Billycock? Bicorne? Tricorne? Bandeau? Bongrace? Fan-tail? Night cap? Garibaldi, Fez?

Who will be the one to solve this mystery!!!!???

edit: turns out its me!

GARIBALDI PILLBOX - ( 1860's ) The braid scrolled pillbox, inspired by the triumphs of the Italian liberator, Garibaldi, was adopted by fashionable women in London.

Amazing work catching all those, Nick! I know nothing of hats, I'm just an expert Googler. :lol

Oh my gosh! Fatal, thats BEAUTIFUL! You sell the RQ ones on ebay correct? Did you use the metallic posterboard for this one too?? How do you get the raised bits to have the same smooth metallic finish and what do you use for the raised bits??

I'd really appreciate your advice! :D

I'm currently overhauling the vest. >_<

I FAIL ultimately at buttonholes. Buttonholes and eyelets are my weakest points. BLAH!

A little teaser:
