Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

I used the same white I used for the Joker, I just dabbed it after I applied to to make it smooth. Although I'd like to see what kind of Geisha makeup is out there for the white. I love how smooth it looks on them, and I'd like to try it out. (That sounds wrong. :lol )

As for the colors, I have a pallete I got from Claire's. :lol :D It's got all the colors I need it in. :lol

And then I also have a white eyeliner pencil, and some white mascara in my arsenal. For the fingernail paint, I'm going to use some of my toothstain I already have, unless I find a better color otherwise.

I hate youtube tutorials....Something about them just makes me mad. :lol

I would suggest Ben Nye foundation as that is what I use for my Amidala makeup. I use it with LiquiSet and it makes it waterproof. I also use a special white base but the other colors are not white at all but a very light ivory.
 
HOORAY!!! The coat is technically done! Meaning, it's complete! Just need to do the aging and fuzzy moss now. :D Fun!!!

And then all that's left are to make the eyebrows a bit bushier, finish painting the bowtie, and a new hat band! YAAAAYY! YAAAY! YAAAAAY!

BTW,
just puttin' this out there...the Official costume hat ( not movie used...but licensed costume hat sold in stores ) is 8 inches tall. 24 across at the widest of the crown.

Jodo, if I find one I'll let you know! So far I've only seen them on EBAY but It's one of those " Made with care in Wonderland " items so I'm assuming the retail price will probably be around $30-40 if it hits stores which isn't bad! It's just costume foam, but its got a band, patch, 10/6 card, printed with the correct pattern...even faux gold stitching. :lol Just a few more seams. It's by no means the greatest thing out there, but for novices on a budget I think it will work and look great! :)

I WISH I lived in California. :(

I left a message on the importantdate twitter saying " i would go if i could get free plane tickets for a red eye to california...but that's impossible " in hopes that they will make the impossible possible and send me free wonderful stuff.

... but i dont think thats going to happen. :lol

it's going to be aired live via the Alice facebook...starts at 5pm PST which is about 8PM EST and i'm done work then so I'll be attending in spirit. :)

I'm still considering making my own, I just need to the time and money for gas to buy supplies. Sorta hard to find stuff around here. :(


EDIT - You know, that hat sorta makes me mad. They could of had an excellent hat with just a little more effort. :( Very typical of costume companies.

it came out so good, if you fond that color with a part in it (or if you knew how to put a part in) it would be perfect in every aspect
and the coat cam our great, i still need to make fuzz for the seams
i was told that i could use bies tape and fray that it would take a lot of tape though
i really dont want to mess that part up cause that's my favorite part of the coat

and Fatal the only reason you can do starting bit 1 cent is cause your awesome XP

Import taxes. They have to intentionally "dumb down" costume items. If something is made to look too good, it crosses over from costume to garment, and garments have a higher import tax than costumes.

The majority of people only wear costumes but once a year, therefore aren't going to pay a price tag high enough to make up for the extra tax.

So you can blame them for having their stuff made cheaply overseas.

I knew Scottish was in the mix. So far the in the clips I've only heard what sounds like British ( I have no idea re: the difference between different areas of the UK ie. Cockney vs whatever else ). They're all so different but are all going to blend together for me by the end of the movie. :lol

Too bad my Hatter can't do any accent for the life of him. It's very odd...I didn't even know that was possible to not be able. I mean bad ones, sure, but not at all?? He'll just have to make up for it in madness. :D
