Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

ah , well like Savvy said, thats what i was working off of
in that case you need to find someone in Theatre Production.
for the right money you can get a good hand laced made

and im not negative
im bluntly honest

'You won't get any help' or 'you aren't going to find one' were pretty negative rather than factual. Sorta made me think maybe you are of the Highlander opinion of 'There can be only one Mirana!' and that's your girlfriend? :lol

Heehee, J/K ;)

Well............you smell funny!

Sorry I couldn't resist!

SithiePadawan! You need to use some punctuation and spell check mate. Sometimes I have a hard time tracking your thoughts in your posts.

yeah, i should learn to do that ^^;
i type fast and dont really pay attention.

but i say it cause my girlfriend is on another Forum thats talking about Mirana, so i get my info from her. And according to her, no one says anything, and if they do, they're painfully vague
so thats what i mean by you wont get much help.
basically its them that have the "There can be only one" outlook

thems is crazy bitches
but i guess us sharing all our information with each other is pretty crazy too........WEES ALL BEING CRAZY BITCHES XD

and i do uze speel chek XD

ok ok im sorry
im cracking my self up now
i really hope in not the only one laughing right now

SHOUT OUT TO KELIKALA!!! Thanks so much for the spools! Just put them together and its begining to look real cool! Imma make it look awesome as soon as I get those toggle clasps!

Glad they got there ok :) Always happy to help someone out! I seriously need to get to work on my hat. It's been sitting around half done for almost a month now :/

Illustrator pattern, seamless and as close as possible to the movie one!
Now get me those lasers!:cool

Thoughts?:)

wow looks so great! but i compared this and the movie poster and here are some differnces i found. the edges of the flower are more rounded, and it seems like the design is closer together. hope this helps!

:love Thanks!

For my first contribution, an article with Colleen Atwood I found last night while trying to decide if Mirana's hair was white or actually platinum blonde. While the article does say 'snow white tresses' I think the fact that they mention it's a real human hair wig as well as the accompanying picture on that page is making me lean towards the lightest platinum blonde wig I can find.

The article is a fun read for anyone interested in any of the main character's costumes so I thought I'd share.

Now to find a lace front platinum blonde wig that isn't going to break the bank... :eek

Just a little note, in the flashback scene, Mirana's hair is definitely platinum blonde. In all of the present day scenes, it's in fact white. Also in the flashback scene, she wears a different crown than what she receives at the end. As opposed to the silver with turquoise jewels, it's a copy of the Red Queens but with diamonds instead of rubies. :)

Just a couple other options for you!!

I'm going to be embarking on a Mirana myself sometime in the future so anything you'd like to discuss, I'd love to share ideas! ( and I'm COMPLETELY green in the face ( with jealousy, not sickness...though I did have a bad steak sandwhich for dinner ) over your Moulin Rouge costumes...I've always wanted the silver one. *_* Yours is perfection...I WILL be begging for help one day...when I get around to it... )

Dammit!
It's true, it is closer, the rounded edges I'm quite sure it's the effect of the lasercut leather of the honeycomb/lace pattern, but it is closer...
Bad news; I have to re-do it (also because I missed another small detail in the design)
Good news; I have already re-positioned my placeholders and the bigger shapes, waiting to redesign a couple of elements...
Damn picky fans!:lol

Look on the bright side!!! All of us here can see that you are officially as mad as a real hatter! Be proud, my friend! :D Your skill and effort really show, it truly is something to be proud of!!

So I got bored at work the last 30 min I was there and had nothing to do... thought I would share... took about 5 min to make and the other 15 min were super boring!!! Shoulda made 4 of these now that I think about it! hahahahah

Mr Pinski, i want one

and Alyeen , its not a Copy, thats what the crown ORIGINALLY looked like.
Iracebeth never had a crown.
it was on the Horunvendush when she stole the crown
then changed it to fit her style

THEN and the end, Chessur uses his evaporating skills to change it to the silver and turquoise

Will be happy to help! :) MR has been my #1 obsession for too long. I'm actually headed up next weekend to see the Black Diamonds (the silver costume) costume in person next weekend; it's on display in Oklahoma city. I can't wait!

I can make more if people want them... I'd be glad to do it for trades or for free as long as I get a couple of bucks for shipping I don't really care. They are all going to be made from clothes hangers from work. So I guess my boss is paying for them??? hahaha

PM me if you want one.

I was Just informed that I am one of the top 25 Finalists for the DeviantArt Wonderland Contest, and since all I did was upload pictures of the costumes I've made I'd say thats a pretty big nod to the "you're doing it right so far" direction. Fingers crossed!
