Progress has been slow. Mainly because I ran out of foam. But I just bought more and it arrived. I hope to get started again soon. Just want to sell my old suit so I can use manny to hold pieces as I build them.

nice build cnat wait to see the finished product! i have a mark VI wip of my own, it looks ok but when i wear it im having problems with the helm.

Just like to apologize for the lack of updates.

I have more foam now. Just trying to sell off my old suit so my manny is free to put finished foam pieces on.. I am running out of shelf space to put the stuff I finish.

I did however purchase one of those Iron Man 2 - 2 part masks that a couple other brothers on the site here have used.. I plan on heavily modifying it and using it with my foam build.

Why would you buy that two piece helmet when your EVA foam helmet is BEAUTIFUL?!:love

lol thats what i did. i just fiberglassed the inside and bondoed where it connected up top then i cut the faceplate out and made hinges for it.

I got the toy helmet. But it isn't working out for me the way I'd like. I decided instead to pep the helmet. I've done this 5 or 6 times and never finish. This time i plan on finishing the helmet. This is a heavily modified pep file that I used. I will add ears, grooves, etc.. after the hardening, bondo, rondo, yalondo stage.. LOL

Small update. I laid down some serious resin to the outside and plan on putting a bit more on the inside of each piece tonight of the helmet. Will post pictures tonight. Each piece is holding its shape quite well now. I will be slush casting smooth cast 300 on the inside as I do with all my peps. I have ordered some other products that I am going to experiment with but we'll see how that goes.

Looks good Jordan! How many pepped helmets is this now? haha i can't keep track, it seems like you've done so many! but they get better each time, so good job!

Only set back is that bondo will not cure properly for me or even stick to the foam rubber. I am lost on that.

when you say taht the bondo will not cure properly, are you meaning when you mix it for the pep or just for the foam?

I'll help you figure something out. Are still thinking about using Slick Sand for the foam armor?
