Apparently it has started filming in Australia. Heres a few pics from set

Actually a shot from another sequel in production... Hobo With a Set of Claws! :lol

Dougray Scott was cast originally, and was set to play the role until MI2 went long and had to do reshoots. Certainly would have been a different take on the role with Dougray Scott, and he would have had a much different career. He's a much shorter guy than Jackman, and not terribly stocky. I'm guessing he'd of bulked up for the role.

I'd still like to see Clint Eastwood somehow as an older Logan. Even if it's just a cameo.
Course, he may be too old now.
i hope he plays wolverine forever
he was MADE for that role

his cameo in first class was the highlight of the film!

Not sure that would work unless they jumped 5000+ years into the future. Comics with the intro of Romulus make it out that Woverine can live for thousands of years. Romulus ( bigger version of Sabertooth is 10,000 yrs old and looks not much older then Logan.)

I'm not crazy with the Romulus storyline. Marvel has a way continually messing with origins/ backgrounds of characters.

Btw, the term for someone from the Far East is Asian, not oriental. An oriental is a type of rug whereas Asian refers to people from the continent and outlying islands of, you know, Asia.

No, that's just one preferred term, and not even a properly PC term either. Depends on which people group you're lumping them all together with.

I know a lot of Pacific Islanders that get very ticked off when people call them Asians. And there are a lot of older folks I know who prefer the term Oriental, because the idea of the Orient carries a modicum of respectfulness in their eyes, whereas "Asian" is demeaning. Like the term "white". Totally demeaning to anyone of mixed ancestry who happens to have light skin.

FWIW, Asian isn't even an accurate term, as we don't go around calling folks from Asia Minor "Asians".

Move on from "Asian." It's not good PC, if you're trying to be PC.

/Rant off.

Back to topic, I enjoyed the Origins movie and I look forward to this one.

Awesome pic. I'm not a Jackman fanboy, but I really cannot see anyone else playing Wolverine.

Fingers crossed that they finally get a stand alone Wolvie movie right this time.

I hope this is a good movie. I thought they got a lot of the advanced promo pics for Origins right, and I thought they captured the character well in those images. I like that they are going to Japan in this film, and that background obviously hints at that.

boy oh boy how does jackman still have hair on his head with all the stuff he has to take to look like that :D

he looks awesome nontheless

His workout regimen is pretty wicked and that piled with eating right. He doesn't have a roiders build, plus he's always been in pretty good shape.

The pic is definitely got me interested. Origins kinda put a bad taste in my mouth, but I still have high hopes for this one.
